I placed an order on Nov 10th, 2017. I received a confirmation email about my order with a number. I received a call from an individual within the company who asked me about my experience. I also received an email asking me about my services. I never received my product. When I called to inquire about it around Dec 1st, all my information was taken and I was told a supervisor would get back to me either that day or the next day. I have been dealing with Pitney Bowes for a couple of years, and have had nothing but issues with them. I receive bills with amounts due. When I call to find out why, since payment had been submitted, I got sent through a line of people until I finally reached a supervisor who told me she didn't know, that she showed us as having a credit, and would have to get back to me. Pitney Bowes mistankenly switched charges on different accounts that we had. I have had SEVERAL phone calls with them on the issue and logged multiple tickets on this issue. They have said every time that it was their error and that the account would be closed, however, THEY STILL CALL ME every 2 weeks about a past due balance on the account. STAY AWAY! They charge late fees even on early payments. Each time they say it could take 2 days, 5 days, 10 days any number of days to ensure your payment is considered late. Then you realize its because they want you to pay online. They will continue to penalize you until you switch to online payments. I have opened more than 5 cases, maybe more, regarding the same thing and they keep closing them even though nothing has been done. I cannot stress enough that you simply look else where. Pitney Bowes is the hardest company to deal with from a customer relations aspect. We had a postal meter whose contract ended in July. We followed all their instructions, packed up and returned the meter, have written confirmation of receipt. We have had a billing problem with them since the end of the contract. We are owed postage that was left on the meter. They constantly review, assign to different people, tell you it is clear, then immediately start the process over. Stay away. That’s all I can say. PB processes payments on a schedule that gives you a late fee. This is the only business I know of that charges an insane late fee for payments made before the due date. They say it can take up to two business days to process, but that is not the case. If you pay well ahead of the due date the payment is processed immediately. If you pay two business days before the due date it takes three days. Weird, right? It is clearly evident that Pitney Bowes only remains in business simply due to their shady business practices. Confuse and overwhelm the customer seems to be their M.O. It baffles me that this company has not been shut down. It was absolutely worth the 3 days of being on hold, heated conversations, emails, etc to no longer use their services. This company is so frustrating. I hate dealing with them. They give you no time to mail in your check so they charge late fees but they call them finance charges and other various names and they can get as high as $150.00 because it takes them 7-10 business days from the day they receive your check to post the payment, so it will almost always be late and you will always be paying late fees. Been trying to use Pitney Bowes for several years now. I'm done. Their billing is set up to eat you up with fees. They charge fees for every silly thing. Now I find out that when you pay your bill online on the due date, they consider it late because they take up to two days to process a payment on line. So how is that not factored into the due date in 2017 when most pay online? And the late fee is not $25-35 like you might find with other companies. Not even close.
