My mother is currently at this hospital and has been since Monday. We asked for a handicap stool to give her a shower and they just brought it tonight when I threatened to call she administrator. I asked the nurse what they were doing to prevent blood clots since she has been laying in a bed for 6 days and her response was 'I don't know, the doctor hasn't ordered anything.' At any other hospital they put the machine on you as soon as you are admitted. She had to go hunt down the machine because apparently they don't have one... read more
Our nurses were great but rest of experience not good. Everyone I know says avoid Eastside, now I know better. Will drive to Dekalb next time.
Came in there with horrible pain. Told me I will remain in a bed in the hallway until a room becomes available. Lies they told. I remained there for 5 1/2 hours. Rooms were available but none offered to me. So much for doctor patient confidentiality and hippa rights, they were violated against me, when all my personal conversations with the doctors and nurses were openly conducted and conversed on a hallway openly. Thank God I wasn't close to death, because everyone would have known first. Never will go here again.
The Emergency room clerk was not compassionate at all...sat in front and flirted with the technician for an hour while I waited 3 1/2 hours to be seen for stitches. Then here comes that same technician ... that she flirted with, to stitch me up. They were both Indian.. Meanwhile my gf who brought me there had to get up at 5 am... she ignored all of my questions to check on the technician (a black woman) who stated that she was going to see me... then, all of a sudden it's a new technician.... did not get out of there until 1... read more
I can say this, from the reception at the ER, to triage, to nurses, doctors, x-ray, and billing, this hospital was very efficient and friendly. A wonderful experience considering the circumstances.
