I have been so very grateful that I got Petfirst Insurance. The adoption center recommended that I get the initial free period included, and I (thankfully) decided to raise the limit per occurrence on our beloved pet, "Juliet". We had her about 8 months when she suddenly got very sick. She had what is called a gall bladder mucocele, and her gall bladder ruptured. This is my first time having pet insurance and so far everything has been good. My reimbursement check shows up the next week after my claim has been processed, however, I wish there was an option for direct deposit for reimbursement. Overall, quick service and great customer service.

I have 4 dogs ranging from 5-13 years old. I am very thankful for the insurance. It is not cheap but I would rather pay ahead and know that I will not have to worry about taking care of my dogs in the future. My policy does not pay for preventive which for the cost I feel that it should. I would think that preventive would be very important not to lead to more serious illnesses. I have been very pleased with the insurance. You need to learn everything they are going to ask for before you send in your claim.
