RecommendedHaving an insurance claim is no fun...but the folks that I dealt with @ Pekin (Sunni and Griff McDonald) were incredible to deal with. They were patient and soothing and literally explained every thing every step of the way. I hope to never have another claim, but it has nothing to do with the phenomenal service I got from Pekin Insurance. HIGHLY recommended.
On the evening of November 2nd I was rear-ended by a driver insured by Pekin. While being involved in a collision and having to work to be reimbursed for the damages is not desirable to anyone, Pekin made it a very smooth and stress-free process for me. Very dissatisfied with the quality of service on a claim. Adjuster named Desiree came out and couldn't get up on my roof and told me that I don't have any damage on my roof but I do have on my skylights and gutters. How can you say I don't have damage on my roof if you can't get up on it to assess? We have had Pekin Insurance for years now and never needed to use it but glad it was there. This year has been one of those for the (man I'm glad we have insurance) years. We had some roof shingles come off the house sometime in the spring with one of the many storms we have had this year, and with one of the many days of 2 to 3 inches of rain in one day, we ended up with water in the living room, kitchen, bedroom,basement and bathroom. I have been a vendor for Pekin Insurance for over 20 years, and they are one of the small handful of insurance companies I work with that are customer service driven. They are always on a "win-win" playing field. Tough to find that in today's insurance Environment.
This place is a joke. Our car, that was sitting in our driveway, was totalled by a car covered by Peking Ins. They told us before their "investigation" that they were probably going to deny the claim because the lady driving wasn't responsible because she was getting beat up by her boyfriend. They wouldn't even write our insurance company a letter so we could get it covered under uninsured motorist. We will see you in court.

We were hit by a person insured by this company. The agent was a douche. We had to set up our own rental car. He was borderline harassing. He emailed and called 3 times in 10 minutes. Very rude on the phone. Apparently he doesn't understand that people work during the day. He was very unprofessional. I would like to have a supervisor contact us to log a complaint against him.
