I have been with pekin for 25 years accident free today they raised my premiums 20.5 percent 400.00 dollars a year MORE. When questioned about this they can not explain why other then we'll sometime rates change. This is not acceptable it amazes me that a company is willing to and WILL loose a 25 year good always payied customer because of their greed. The world has become a sad sad place.

Pekin switch prices around they tell you one price and charge you something else. They said $1000 deductible they charged me $2400 then when there was a loss they wouldn’t pay out.

The company doesn't call back, doesn't take responsibility for its wrong doing and actions. Tries to price gouge you, won't return phone calls from the head office in I*******. They try to get you on a payment plan instead of paying full. There gilling invoice has no balance of what is owed if on a payment plan. They try and blame everything on the agent when it's the home office and the board members.

Have never experienced an insurance company so incompetent in my life. Someone insured by pekin hit my car while I was stopped at a red light and totaled it. I've had to fight them on money for lost days at work, payout for a loaner, and now, after 5 months since the incident, 2 months after chiropractic, since it messed my back up and my finances, they are now just contacting me about the chiro payout which I'm sure will not be a fair payout either. have had Pekin home and auto for over 15 years. Have paid in roughly $60k in those years. Other than storm damage to home (not my fault), two deer hits (welcome to *******) and a hit and run that we never caught the guy....no other claims. The two deer hits were on cars worth both less than $5,000. Storm damage was from *******..so welcome to the party *****. Got cancelled today for too many auto claims. Its lengthy but worth the read.... the offered more for my tires but the total was the same as before giving me more????? Their insured blew the stop sign, failed to yield and 3 MPH over on my black box info they say 10% liability is my fault! The 06 SRT8 Chrysler 300 is destroyed and now being undervalued. I had their insurance on my business, autos, home, personal autos, everything for over a decade. We had an attic fire. They even insured Pekin Stove Shop that caused the fire. Nothing but a battle, had to sue them. I wouldn't recommend them to insure a dead dog, Curt Markley

Pekin Insurance is not a very reliable company when settling claims you may have with their clients. One of their clients backed into the passenger side of my car while I was waiting to get into a parking space. In spite of pictures showing scratches to the rear bumper of their client's car and pictures showing dents in my front and rear passenger doors, the Pekin adjuster and her boss claimed that I hit their client's car, and therefore, denied the claim. My bill was due on the 28th, paid it on the 30th but they didnt get it from the bank till the 7th of july. Holiday and covid I am guessing. Went to pay the most recent bill and was informed my policy was canceled and got dropped. Wouldnt recommended pekin to anyone, I have been with them for 5 years or more and have always paid my bill.
