Worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. I filed a claim over a month ago and they asked me to submit a bid for the damages. The bid was submitted right away. Since then I have sent several emails and left several phone calls and no one will get back to me. I have no idea how this company is in business when they can't return a simple email or phone call.

Every month Pekin Insurance submits automatic payment claims to my Bank, which my Bank honors. One is apparently for renter's insurance for an apartment where I have not lived for two years. The other is for an automobile which is no longer operational (or licensed) and which I would like to add as a second vehicle with my current auto insurance company, but cannot because the vehiclew cannot pass local emissions requirements. 3/29/2020 3/28/2020 Filed a claim Aug. 2019. Simple roof and ceiling damage due to a storm. Several mo. went by with no response from the claims dept. After threatening to file with the BBB, and several months, Gabrielle *******from claims came out, and I showed her my damaged roof and ceiling. After months went by, I finally got a check for the roof only. Just the roof. I've had Pekin insurance for a number of years now for both home and auto. Very reasonable rates and easy to work with. I would certainly recommend checking them out.

One of our fleet trucks was involved in an accident with a customer of Pekin. Per our company policy we needed to send our employee to take a drug and alcohol screening and had lost revenue for the employees to switch equipment to another vehicle. Pekin refused to recognize our loses for this time and suggested that since it was a slow time of the year we would have the time to deal with the issue on our own. We ended up paying the $642.00 lose out of our own pocket. As with most insurance companies these days they create pr... read more

I hit a deer back in the beginning of November, I filed the claim as soon as possible with them, i had no car because my card was deemed not to be driven by multiple different repair shops. They took a week to get back to me and get me a car even though e********* said they had multiple different cars available. Fast forward after i got my car my adjuster took a week and a half to get a hold of me after i left multiple different voicemails and called him at least 5-6 times and a few days into December got a check and finally... read more

The claim was submitted on November 18, 2019. Contact was made with the customer on this date and a reservation was set for rental direct bill with E*********. The customer was advised no rentals were available on the date of loss and if one was found before then she would let us know. The insured was put into a rental on November 19, 2019. An inspection was completed on the unit and draft was issued for repairs on November 21, 2019. Their client backed into my parked h*****, brand new barely 2k miles on it. Ended up costing 10k to fix everything that was damaged. I went through my insurance company, which I'm glad I did. That was almost a year ago. I still have an open claim on my insurance because they have not paid them back yet. When I call Peking and speak with the agent handling my claim, I get told that my insurance sent over black and white photographs and that they have contacted my insurance company about the pictures. The complainant chose to go through his insurance carrier. We then worked with the complainant's insurance company to resolve the claim. The complainant is correct that we did receive black and white photos from his carrier. We subsequently requested color photos as it was pertinent to our investigation. The claim with the complainant's insurance carrier was resolved on 11/15/19.

Pekin Insurance has been so easy to work with. All of my claims have been handled VERY quickly, professionally, and completely. There was NO arguing, NO begging, and NO headaches. Just easy to work with.
