I would like to thank pekin insurance for 24 years of great insurance and always being there for me in auto insurance and home I have had the best insurance company through the last 24 years I am sorry I hafto leave I understand that all the insurance antilitcs seem not to fit all home insurance needs so after 24 years I hafto leave . Pekin represents all that is bad within the “insurance industry”. They make ignorant decisions based on metrics that do not represent life’s realities and decisions that caused great stress and inconvenience to a great customer. In my line of work, if I treated my client as they have me and my family, I would be out of business before long. As you are aware a driver in your household received a ticket for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle which is considered a serious violation. We offered a couple of solutions - move that driver to our Crossroads (high risk) program or exclude her from our policy in total and have your agent write her with a different company. We were notified by your agent that these solutions were not acceptable to you which left us with no alternative but to non-renew your policy. My husband and I paid for home and auto insurance with Pekin Insurance. My first claim with a hit and run driver drug on and on because the agent taking care of my claim was on vacation. I needed this taken care of right away as I am going in for surgery and will be out of commission for 2 months. Of course, there is no hurry on their part. I would not recommend this company to anyone. It may cost less, but you pay for it in a company that doesn't care,

I would not currently recommend this company for Auto Ins. They cancelled my policy for not receiving the payment after they had already received my payment (full payment) and completely processed it, the check had already cleared. They sent me the cancellation notice 13 days after cancelling my policy, cancelled 10/27/16 and notice sent 11/08/16 and my billing notice shows a due date of 10/29/16. This is totally unacceptable customer service and poor business management!
