This is the biggest ripoff I have ever experienced in my life of rental cars. They are trying to get away with overcharging me two extra gallons of gas after I filled up across the street before I dropped it off. I drove 67 miles and they are claiming I used 4 gallons on a Honda Civic. I have the receipt (2.2 gallons), 28 mpg was reading of car's mileage, and I made sure the gas clicked to top. The needle was also to top.

Payless rental car rental is FRAUDULENT. I had a prepaid car through *********** and paid $132. Arriving in Seattle on March 11 returned the car on March 13. I was then charged $57 extra. When I inquired and asked for a refund they said I signed for liability. I DID not! I rent cars often and NEVER get anything extra because I have car insurance! I want my money back! Plus, the only way to complain is to go through the website which took almost two weeks to respond.

Payless is car rental is a Rip off. Do not give a blank credit you will be surprised. Rented a Car for three days in San Diego through ***********. Paid a few of $207.11 cents. On way to Airport to return can had a blow out. Called the emergency number provided on key was stranded on highway 3 hours. Another car tow responded to the Payless emergency number. Do not rent from this company. Picked a car up with damage on the windshield. I reported and documented this minutes after picking the car up and i was assured a ticket has been created and would not be charged. A month after returning the car i get a random 284$ charge to my CC with zero documentation about why. I call to inquire and I'm being charged for the windshield i reported to be broken when i got the car. The quote from ******* was 626, but out the door for a week was 1102!!!. And, I am driving the crappiest car in the world, it only came with a steel key, so totally manual locks. It handles horribly at high speeds on the freeway. Avoid Payless at all costs, high fees, and terrible cars. I am forfeiting the payment and returning the car early. Never, never do Payless Car.

Do not rent from Payless. Two months after returning the vehicle we rented, we got a claim in the mail for damages we did not incur during our time driving it. When we asked Payless to email photos and documentation substantiating the claim, they assured us they would and never did. We finally were able to see the documentation months later, which showed Payless was seeking payment from us for damages incurred a WEEK AFTER we returned the vehicle. Payless car rental with history ripped off customer with hidden fee and return car rental problems and charged customer for no reason!!!
I was provided horrible service at the Ontario Ca Airport location the rep Manny was rude condescending and lacked customer service skills period. I arrived and they did not have any cars available even though I had a reservation and when I asked why I was being given a particular car Manny was rude and stated that's what they had.
