The Payless receipt dated March 2 and timed at 9:59 pm emailed to our daughter shows at 9:04 March 2, 2022, she rented a car at your Phoenix airport location using our family credit card. They charged bogus refueling fee. The car returned with full tank of gas. This company is scamming customers.

If I could give NO STARS I WOULD. I reserved my car a week ago for a 7 passenger vehicle for 12 pm. I get to the airport to pick my car up and THEY HAVE NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Nobody called to say anything or made any attempts to make it right but state, "Its Memorial Day weekend." I MADE RESERVATIONS how does affect me when I made reservations. Payless offered a good rate, but failed to provide a printed rental agreement at the counter in Albuquerque, saying that it would arrive by email in about 20 minutes. It took several phone calls, with long hold times, to get the document emailed to me, ten days into my two week trip. Also, I agreed to the pre-paid tank of fuel with the explicit assurance that if the car was returned with a full tank, the charge would be removed. This is the worst experience by far that I have ever had with a car rental company! To start off, they lie to customers by telling them they HAVE to buy their insurance and you cannot use your own. My total rental was about $300 more expensive at the end, but I know for a fact that I can use my personal car insurance because I use that all the time and it covers vehicle rentals in PR, but they did not even bother to look at my policy. This is the biggest ripoff I have ever experienced in my life of rental cars. They are trying to get away with overcharging me two extra gallons of gas after I filled up across the street before I dropped it off. I drove 67 miles and they are claiming I used 4 gallons on a Honda Civic. I have the receipt (2.2 gallons), 28 mpg was reading of car's mileage, and I made sure the gas clicked to top. The needle was also to top.

Payless rental car rental is FRAUDULENT. I had a prepaid car through *********** and paid $132. Arriving in Seattle on March 11 returned the car on March 13. I was then charged $57 extra. When I inquired and asked for a refund they said I signed for liability. I DID not! I rent cars often and NEVER get anything extra because I have car insurance! I want my money back! Plus, the only way to complain is to go through the website which took almost two weeks to respond.
