As we arrived to the San Antonio international Airport we expected a smooth transition into our rental car that was reserved a month in advanced. I was completely wrong, we stood in line behind six people, waited 1hr after the third person was help they closed the counter and we were told to go back to the 5th floor for someone to help us. I have rented a car from Payless Car Rental on 3rd September 2021 to 7th September from DFW airport, Dallas, TX. (Rental Agreement XXXXX). For their service they charged me with $427.15 and they withhold $200 as caution deposit using ***** credit card. On 7th September 2021, I have retuned back their vehicle neat & tidy on a full tank of gas and got the clearance from the company on the same day, where they returned back my caution deposit. I am highly dissatisfied with the service I received at the Houston lobby Payless Car rental service. No one gave me a contract the desk agent stated that she would email it to me, I never received anything in my email. The Payless counter is next to Avis and budget, their agents are explaining toll fees, gas fees, printing out receipts and providing detailed explanations. Payless charges at the time the car is rented; rates are based on a 24- hour day, but customers are allowed a grace period of 29 minutes before additional charges are applied. I rented a car from Payless through ********* which I picked up from the Birmingham Airport. When I got to the Payless counter, it was closed; however, there was a handwritten note to report to Avis. I reported to Avis. A few days later I returned the car on a full tank of gas and I have a receipt to support this. I later received a statement from my bank showing a much higher amount. I wish there could be a 1/2 star rating. I rented a car in Denver Airport. For the most part the only initial issue i had was the rental place was filthy, trash on the floor, no garbages and only 2 clerks working with a packed lobby. It took 30 mins of waiting in line to get the rental that was prepaid. When I got to the counter things were slowed by their attempt to upgrade and sell insurance. I booked a reservation for a 7 day rental through *****/*********. To book my reservation, I defined my pickup day, but not explicit pickup time. I received my confirmation via email after booking, and it mentioned a 12pm drop off/ pickup time but did not think anything of it. I arrived at my destination at ~8pm, and upon pickup, I was told that I was a "no show" because I arrived after 12pm. There was no attempt to contact me. After my flight was delayed, I was 2 hours late picking up my reserved rental. They had canceled my reservation, and while they assured me they still had cars, it would be an EXTRA $200 for the four days as it would have to be an "upgrade". Fine, I needed a car. Turned in the car four days later uneventfully, but ANOTHER $166.66 charge was added to my card the day I turned it in. For a recent trip to San Diego I rented a car through Payless Cars using Expedia. Total cost was $381 for four days. When I went to pick up the car the agent told me it was only a 2-door and too small for three people (not true, Versas are 4 doors), and he would give us an upgrade for $7/day. I said sure, fine.
