I came to Dr. Parentis through a referral from my primary care physician. I had chronic shoulder pain and had gone through physical therapy and steroid injections. Nothing had helped. Dr. Parentis advised that I have either one of two possible procedures - I chose to have a complete shoulder replacement in which the ball and socket are removed and replaced with a new ball where the old socket had been and a new socket where the old ball had been. Dr. Parentis performed rotator cuff surgery on my left shoulder. He explained in detail everything about the surgery including post op length of recovery, pain level and what my expectations should be after healing. It's very evident that Dr. Parentis cares about the well being of his patients and that is so appreciated after undergoing a life changing surgery .
Dr Parentis is very understanding and accommodating. He truly understood the importance of my football season and acted very fast with treatment I was seen and treated for a serious collarbone break. . I feel as if everything from office visits to surgery instructions were explained thoroughly. I have a very clean incision and had no complications at all. Dr Parentis replaced my knee in April 2022, the care I received from day one was excellent.
Dr. Parentis preformed surgery on a severe infection in my left arm. He came to me and my family at the hospital when things were looking bad. He immediately reassured my family that things would be ok. His communication, professionalism and work are top notch. The surgery went great and I am well on my way to a full recovery!
Dr. Parentis provided excellent care, gave me very good advice in advance of the surgery and I am now pain-free with excellent range of motion. The staff in the office is also very friendly.

Dr. Parentis is very knowledgeable and facts based. Gives you the information for you to decide for yourself how you want to preside. Great personality, pleasant to deal with. Office staff are great as well. Exellent follow up after surgery! He personally calls you to see how your doing after you get home the night of the procedure. Very caring! Answers your questions, very honest. I would highly recommend his services.
Dr. Michael Parentis gave me a total knee replacement in May 2022. I was suffering with pain and could barely walk. As of today I have no pain and I am able to continue my everyday activities. The care I received was wonderful, from the office staff, the therapy staff, Sisters Hospital and Dr Parentis.
