They did what they said they would - but no more. That's worth 3 stars to me, but no more.I provided Ownwell with a detailed analysis of similarly situated homes that demonstrated significant inconsistencies in the appraised values of those homes. Ownwell did not tell me whether that analysis was used in my protest. But since the reduction they achieved was what they projected in their initial promotional mailing, I suspect not. Ownwell is a smaller property tax consultant firm. I choose them because being a smaller firm they would spend more time on my property tax protest vs one of the big guys who just churn thru hundreds or thousands of protests I have been with Ownwell for 3 yrs and I am very happy with the results. They have reduced my property value on by rental property in ****** and thus taxes every year at least 5 percent Also their fees are less than the big guys.
