I hired them (1st time working with them) to protest my property tax increase (*************) in April 2024. Did not hear anything for a few months. Then in June I was notified that a hearing would be scheduled & they would take care of everything. I called them in August to ask the ************* only told me we are still pending the hearing. ***. Sent bill for $1058 thru mail with my personal info: legal name, address, tax number, county. It was from Ownwell *********. After over hour, finally a person by phone could not determine why I owed money. I am a 100% disabled veteran who thought I didn't pay property taxes. They want $1058 from me. They have all my personal info.

I signed up and saw their "survey." See how complicated is to cancel your account immediately. They make it impossible. GIVE THIS B.S. OPERATION A BIG ZERO! It requires at least a 1 ******* advice? Throw their marketing survey and application in the trash!

I contracted with Ownwell about reducing a property valuation in ***********. They were successful in getting a small reduction and I paid the fee they charged. This year, they billed me again even though I never requested another reduction. They did send me what appeared to be a solicitation for continued work which I ignored. Now they have demanded payment because I did not read the fine print in the lengthy contract that stated I would be charged annually unless I specifically cancel the contract. If I Could give this company a 0 I would. Not only did they waste way too many months of my life, claiming that they were still working on my claim, but then they just sent me an email stating that the tax assessors office claims that everything is fair that they are charging so therefore, ownwell is claiming that there is nothing more that they can do. This is my first year of owning this house. Got appraisal value of 30K more than my purchase price. Ownwell submitted my closing documents and got the appraisal revised to the closing price. I saved 595$ and I have to pay them 149$. I hoped ownwell does more than ******* neighbors saved the same amount by filing themselves.I own another home in *************. I filed a protest myself on that property and got my price revised by 25K. My neighbor who used ownwell hadnt got any appraisal reduction.
