Ever since HICV took over Silverleaf properties those properties have become more run down, and the company tends to treat former SL owners like garbage.

Thank you Orange Lake for NOT making our honeymoon special. Thank you for not letting us have a room with a beautiful view of the lazy river even though we requested it a year in advance. Thank you for promising champagne and never delivering it. This is one of the most nickel and dimming places I have ever been. As Holiday inn Resort owners, we have fun and rest at all the resorts in the US. Two and Three bedroom resort with all the comfort of home. Several indoor and outdoor pools, lazy rivers, Golf courses, and Sports Bars. Many other areas of fun.
We have been owners since 1989...yes when there were only a few villas, the clubhouse and a promise of all that it is today. OL delivered and now we bring our grandchildren however we feel disrespected because our tenure is only counted from the time we changed over to the point system. Without us original investors, there wouldn’t be what it is. All the literature boasts of the growth since the 1980’s but we can’t have a membership that recognizes our commitment date?!
