This is literally the worst financial institution Ive ever patronized. Dont sign-up. Run and dont look back. My account had three unauthorized charges and they did nothing to assist, but send me through an unending cycle of ineptitude.
If I could give a half star I would. I feel robbed and penalized for opening an account, supporting black banking, planning for and being prepared for urgent situations. I had consistent direct deposits via payroll, was never made aware nor was it written that I would be charged a fee for saving and not making 10 transactions per month. This bank has to the be worst institution ever - I open a savings account with the minimum amount $50 and before setting up my direct deposit to add funds to this account, they start taking maintenance fees of $5 every month and then close the account without notifying me. What the heck type of bank does this? I am don't trying to support this black-owned institution."
Great bank and I love what it does for the community. But I can tell they make a fortune off overdraft fees from the people. I racked up a shocking $1500 worth of overdraft fees within a month and could not reverse anything. I thought my overdraft protection was turned off which I thought I did on the app and over the phone app but I was ring and tried to explained to them my financial situation and received no empathy or help. This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. I opened a CD account many many years age and never withdrew from it. Each month I would just let it roll over. I was in the "********* **************** Property web site" and behold I saw my name there for my account at this bank, They never sent me a notice. I am closing this account. They have yet to resolve reoccurring issues. When dealing with other peoples money the intentionality to fix the issues lack with **********. They have yet to contact me about issues that I've had since opening the account. Every time I've called about it they state someone will call me back within 48 hrs.
