Horrible bank don't waste your time. The bank is punishing me by holding my check during Covid19 times because my account was negative. I have no funds for gas and food until the bank releases my check in 7 days. Now I can't even get to work.

Hate to talk down on a Black owned business but this has been one of my worst bank experiences! They were great about noticing fraud in MARCH and cut off my debit card in march and supposedly ordered a new one. Never received. APRIL still no card, I am having to drive an hour and a half to the only bank location still opened OR jerry rig my venmo account. Such a head ache. Supposedly sending out a card again. I’ve been trying to get ahold of customer service for 2 months now and I get no response and wait on the phone over 20 minutes before still no one answers. THIS IS HORRIBLE! I’ve been needing a card for all of the Covid experience pretty much and can’t get a new card because the app isn’t working and no one is answering the phones. I’m all for black business and want to support but I’ll have to go to a business that will have a decent customer service because you guys are giving me a horrible experience. I hate to be a bitter person but this is RIDICULOUS. I tried to do the right thing and bank black but that was a HUGE mistake. NEVER bank with OneUnited Bank EVER. I have been trying to receive my card since July 6 2020. They keep using the Covid as an excuse as to why they can't stay on top of their business. I cannot get someone to help with a simple issue. Adding a loan to my online banking portal. I've had many run around conversations. The workers on the phone are pleasant but not interested in helping nor do they seem empowered by their manager. It seems like this is a leadership issue.

I forgot my password sometime last year. I called the support number and, within a few minutes, I was talking with support and they helped me setup another password within minutes. The lady was sharp, very nice and knowledgeable about their banking products.

I reported a couple fraud charges on my debit card, they reversed the charges and said I would need to turn in the paperwork to my branch store, great no problem. I received the paperwork and turned it into the branch and ask Valerie how long will it take for me to receive a replacement card (1 week has gone by alread) she said it would take her 10 days as she is behind ( Shouldn’t take a customer that long to receive a replacement card and nor is it my problem that you are behind but okay) Week Two arrives and still didn’t ... read more

I hate to have to leave this review but everything you see here is true in regards to customer service. I tried to open an account and it was declined. This notification arrived via email with no explanation as to why. I called and after waiting for close to 45 minutes for someone to answer I was told it was due to the lack of responses of the required security questions.
