**** is a strong word! I don't write reviews, so please know pure anger towards this incompetent bank is what brought me here. **** story short, forget the logos and their flashy website..RUN!! DO *** **** HERE. Everytime you call each of the young interns that were hastily hired last year without training, will each tell you something different, if they don't hang up on you first!!!! They post debits before credits/deposits to collect fees. They promise you will have your deposit 2 days early...lies. Depends on how they fee... read more
If the bank is in error, the customer shouldnt be made to feel like they have done something wrong. The first customer rep I spoke to was on the verge of crying and quitting (her words) due to not being allowed to do the right thing for me, by her manager ******; who has to be the worst supervisor that I have ever talked to in my professional life. She was so rude, condescending and belligerent, totally unexpected considering that the bank (and their **** pay) were the ones in error. My experience with the strangely combativ... read more
My wife and I opened a joint checking and savings account last summer (around July-August 2020) with the intention of having this just be a secondary bank account to make small payments while supporting a **********. We've had nothing but issues since...first, around December we started getting reports of a couple of fraudulent charges for very small amounts on both of our debit cards (meanwhile I had *** ONCE used my card for anything so ***?) and got an email and text notification saying our account was being frozen (witho... read more
Like what many other people have said, I really wanted to stick around and support **************, seeing as they are the largest black-owned bank in the country, but I have been let down too many times to not switch at this moment. I would switch now if I would have changed my Direct Deposit in time and my *** refund has not come yet.First the fraud prevention "feature" they have is lackluster and terrible. I\'ve had them notify me twice about potential fraud, which the first time I was trying to buy 20 dollars worth of ite... read more
Aside from the prompt customer service I received to close my account today, I rate this bank strongly as a 1 out of 5! \nFees and more fees. \nOutdated app. \n\nI love supporting us and was hoping to have a great experience with ***. But they fell short for me and what I was sending to the account, wasn\x92t matching up with those harsh fees
If I could give zero stars I would, two years ago I decided to bank black. I opened a debit card with One ******, I took out $25 a week from my ***** account to fund it. I funded it every week, but found that every month they took out $20 as a fee. For two years I felt I was just going to eat the fees and see if there was some benefit to the card in the long run. The answer obviously is no, its just a debit card that takes about $220 a year of my savings to hold it. After the **** of 2020 I decided it was time to shake loose... read more
Had a terrible experience with **************. I thought I was supporting a good cause and opened up a checking account with them. I read through the checking account criteria to ensure I could start with only a small amount of money in their account, and gradually shift my banking over to them entirely. With NO NOTIFICATION, the bank slyly charged me maintenance fees every month until I had a negative balance. After speaking with Customer Service, they were 100% unyielding to my not knowing their fine print criteria and wou... read more
I wish my experience with this bank would have turned out better. I wanted to be a more conscious banker, but am experiencing being unable to login on the website, so I have no access to the money in a CD that just keeps renewing itself. I have sent a written request to withdraw my money sent with a signature request and I still never heard anything. I have no choice but to contact my lawyer to, close my account with One United and finally have access to MY money. What a disappointment.
the ppl that work for this company are real clowns. on top of that they’re system is very out dated and really suspect. i wouldn’t advise anyone & i do mean ANYONE to bank with these people. they’re con artists playing with people money. if the shoe was on the other foot these folks would be loosing it. i don’t understand how i filed a claim at the beginning of October and was told they could do anything at the beginning of November and i’m now finding out after they told me they couldn’t get my money back they still tried t... read more
