DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY OR ENERGY ON THIS BANK!!! Horrible customer service! I had to wait over 13 days to get my account approved. I waited over 21 days for a debit card that has never came. Poor customer service, poor quality. Todd offered to send me a replacement card fast for a $50 fee. I tried to support this business because I'm all about banking Black, but this bank is a prime example of getting what you pay for. This bank is harmful. If I could give this institution negative stars I would. This bank declined a large transaction (when the money was available in the account) and when I called they stated they reserve the right to decline transactions above 5K. Then, the bank charged a fee ($35) for the declined funds. Next, the bank closed my account after (1 day after) I transferred my funds to my linked bank without notice. I've been holding for 3+ days for them to tell me when I can't access my 3k+. I have a regular savings acct and I've been transferred and hung up on more times than I can count. Well Weds is a banking day so looks like I'm coming up on more "wait" time. OH, and I tried to transfer funds like I have done previously in the past now, the amount requested is "higher than my limit". LE SIGH! I just want my DARN money and not be hung up on AGAIN O.U!!! :/

This company is not for black people. I have never been treated and ripped apart by a bank in my life the saddest part is that a bank that says it respect, care, unites, and support black people. They wrongfully reported to my Chex system that my account was closed due to suspect of fraud and all money owed to them was paid in full. causing me to be denied to all other bank due to their report. They charge you insufficient funds fee and say they are for the African American Community but they are not. You really see who cares for their customers when there is a pandemic and they charge 37 if your account is negative. They also refuse to refund these charges, customer service agents are rude, I asked to speak to a manager and they always lie and say not one is available. They have you on hold for 30+ minutes. I have been trying to reach customer service for 7 months! I live out of state and can not get a single soul on the phone, i have left well over 40 voicemails. I just don’t know what to do at this point

I opened an account with ********** a few months ago. I was extremely excited to find a black owned bank. It has been nightmare trying to get my card activated and get a customer service rep on the line to resolve the issue. Every time I try to call the automated line to activate, I receive a message that the card center can’t activate- call customer service. This has been going on for 3 days. If I could give a negative star I would. They are holding my direct deposit and not sending it back to my employer...my account is closed. My account closed on yesterday when my deposit became pending. I still keep getting emails that my account has a pending deposit. After waiting 35 minutes to speak to someone, I was transferred to Jene. She was fairly rude by over-talking me. She kept repeating that I wasn't getting any money or that deposit tomorrow. I’m at a list of words, I’m literally sitting in the shopping plaza parking lot writing this complaint/ review. My %%%%%% card declined on though there plenty of money in my account and I haven’t gone over my daily limit; I am so embarrassed and disappointed with their customer service (which is already closed by the way).
