I called my One Main Financial branch office to see what kind of assistance they could offer me since I am no longer having any income until further notice. I got a loan through this company twice. The first time was because a friend did it and told me, so I got a loan to help my credit. I ended up paying the full amount back in 4 months so I never really saw the interest scam they are doing. So I eventually came back for a second loan of 9800, they put me on a payment type of plan where they charge 8 dollars a day interest. I just took out a loan for the ******* AL location. I clearly have paperwork that states the first payment is to be debited on April 4th. They took the payment out on March 4. I had to call several times to try to get through (automated system) and finally only had the option of leaving a message. They finally called back apologizing stating that it was their mistake but they could not issue a refund because they have to make sure the funds come back to them before a refund could be processed. Started off in April with 7200 and in December its 7045.. I take care of my disabled mother and fell short starting in December, tried to work out payments.. NO LUCK!! I removed my bank info from my account. I want to pay off with income tax. AFTER REMOVING MY BANK ACCOUNT INFO, THEY TOOK A PAYMENT OUT ANYWAYS. Now i am over drafted!! One Main Financial is awful you get no break with them and if you pay it off early you still after to pay the interest on the full loan please not a good company to do business with.

Directly lied to my wife on two separate phone calls in reference to them closing out her credit card account(s) via letter to the creditors. When she asked the finance person at Main about what was happening, he claimed ignorance as to why her cards would be closed out, not just paid off. I did not authorize a credit inquiry on my card, I just inquired about a loan but did not approve moving forward for a credit check. They pulled my credit not once but twice which brought my score down 50 points. I'm trying to get a hold of the company to have this inquiry removed but they of course are not open. This is very upsetting and fraudulent. I decided not to move forward with the loan because they are a predatory organization, and now I feel like my credit has been punished because of it anyway.

FRAUDULENT. I took out a $5100 loan last November. I've made timely payments the last 16 moths. I called tonight to make an additional payment. I was told at the time of origination that I could make additional payments to the principal at any time and there are no prepayment fees. WRONG. The woman who took my payment tonight told me that it would not go to the principal. I asked her what dollar amount would go to principal and what amount would go to interest. Ima huge fan of OneMain. They got me out of more than 1 pinch and for that I'll be forever grateful. Also, paying my loans off before the maturity date helped repair my credit. Sure, the interest rates are less than desirable....but if we all had decent credit we'd probably loan money from a real bank. Lol. Thanks OneMain!!!
