I was approved for a $4,000 secured loan from one main for a car where they would hold the title. I looked and after 3 weeks found a car did all the papereork signed everything and was ready to pick up car. I started calling around for car insurance and who would think a 2010 Cadillac insurance would be $300 a month at the lowest . thats more than i would be paying for the loan a month. It was friday so i had to wait till monday to tell them i couldnt afford the insurance on the car so they resended the contract for that car... read more

I've never been so disrespected by a company because of my color. I was pre-approved for a 10,000 dollar auto loan sent in all my info paystubs sent buyer order and never got a call back. Called 4 times before I got some to talk to me who they will call me back on my I was not approved. I called the 800 number explaining my concerns as to why despite me owing less then 5,000 in debt and make beyond the pay requirement. My credit shows no derogatory marks and well in the perimeters. I don't trust them at all. I just found out after checking my payment statements In almost a year (over $2,000 of our payments) only $20 dollars was added to our principal the rest (about 98% of every payment) was going to "interest" WOW! This is an example Out of a $425.00 payment only $0.60 cents went to the Principal (the loan what we borrow) and $424.40 to "interest". This was done about every month for almost a year. They're taking advantage of you I've been making my payments ahead of time and my balance is not going down I don't have to make any payments till July so I'v been taking this opportunity to make payments ahead of time but I see nothing. I called customer service was not happy at all because they are telling me that interest accumulates everyday. So I'm the previous commentor and to my surprise I was contacted by the Companies Executive Branch and no my loan isn't lowered as much as I would like but Katherine did explain and talk to me like someone who is going through some of the same things we all are during this pandemic. I appreciate her empathy and explanation about my loan because I'm sure everyone's is different.

Horrible business practice. They treat people as if they were cattle. Do not get a loan through them.

All comments about OneMain are sad but true during this pandemic I have been trying to help my daughter who is the co-borrower on my loan who is working the front line they only allowed me to make a One time partial payment offered nothing else My car was totaled and a payoff was sent in the amount of 4,000$ it's like they sent 400$. But that's ok companies like these claim they're helping us but filling their unrighteous riches pockets and this to will end.

Applied three different time Credit karma gave a good approval odd at 100% Credit pulled told need collateral Ding to credit with no success Three strikes and Im done. Not a pleasant experience

The fees they charge do not add up, predatory lender. I took a loan for $8000 in Oct 2018, used my car for collateral, My payments were $288.18 starting 12-01-2018, from Dec 18 to May 2020, never late I paid $5475.42. I purchased a new car on 05-02-2020 traded in my car, the dealer called for the payoff and it was ...wait.... $7525 and I made the May 01 2020 payment of $288.18 for a total of $7813.18 for May 2020...$186.82 less than the original amount 19 months earlier.
