I had a great experience with the gentleman that opened my loan for me. There was minimum hassle, I showed up, signed my papers and the money was in my account the next day. I was able to pay off the loan within a year. However, when I called to confirm the payoff amount, I received electronically, I was given a different dollar amount over the phone. Does not take care of their long term good paying customers! Been a customer for 5 years and always paid on time but still would not let us re do our loan.. Manager of our local branch is a robot with no personalized customer service.. very disappointed in the company.. will pay off what we owe and never deal with them again.

I called and spoke with a representative to let them know that I had been financially impacted by COVID 19. I had previously made a large prepayment on my loan and was told by the company that because of my large prepayment they would cancel the next three months payments. No mention of the fact that they would still be charging me interest was made, and I was assured that there was nothing on my end I needed to take care of. Worst company to try and get straight information from. Staff was incredibly rude and not very willing to be truthful about their practices. My cousin tried to get a loan on her own, credit was too low so they recommended a co-borrower. The second time they ran her credit the coborrower's income was too low. The employee Paul was insistent that she find a different coborrower with a higher income to try and assist. I had a car accident in at the end of June 2020 so I called to make and deferred payment in July. So in August my payment is due on 15th so I call to change payment date just for August to the 21st. The One main associates dinged my credit way to many times 9 time and said I needed a co-signer cause me credit was too low.

Things started out really great until they begin cheating me out of money. Had a balance of just over four thousand dollars paid two thousand of it and the balance increased tremendously the next day. Requested a payoff quote and the quote given was more than what I actually owed. Because the online payoff was rejected I drove to the Fort Worth location and made a payoff in store. Due to the pandemic, my contract ended and no income is available to me. I spoke with a rep at the McKinney location name Olga. She was not very nice and very insulting to me as a customer. She became very aggressive demanding I send her a bank statement or file for unemployment to make payments on my account. I thought that was rude and not a good representation of One Main Financial.
