The worst company to deal with. Having a hardship due to COVID and fell behind on payments. Their website shows "they're there for you". However, that's a joke. My local branch has the rudest people working. Was told I could do a modification but had to submit a payment today or they would start the repossession process. I told them I could do the payment on Friday when I'm paid again but just have no other means to get the additional funds. Was told, that's the only option. I wish I could give no stars. I called Onemain financial, their office located at ***** **** and **** Avenue here in ******* Az. I applied for a loan on Friday and Ashley a staff at that office was promptly communicating with me and she told me that I can come in to the office on Monday to continue the loan process. She gave me time which was 10:00am. She needed my social security card and avoided check which I didn't feel comfortable sending it online and rather turn it in in person. I am seriously disappointed with the lack of organization and answers I have received. In April of 2019 I refinanced my loan through them and put my car up as collateral. When the loan was once again refinanced in April of 2020 I was told the title to my vehicle would be sent to me within 7-10 business days. Naturally, this did not happen. I gave it time because with COVID-19 they said their title holding office was closed. I called to surrender the vehicle, because I wasn't able to afford the high payment. They told me to drop it off and I would be charged the towing fee from their parking lot and not to leave because I'm still responsible for the loans. They are rude and make a lot of threats. I was making biweekly pays on a $10000 dollar loan of $180 since July 3, 2020, I have paid $1620 and on my credit report it says I still owe $10133. I would not recommend their device to no one. Beware of them!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are horrible, they do not deserve one star at all,, they lie while smiling at you. Credit Karma referred them and I went ahead and tried them, I took a loan out to be able to buy my son his first car after his graduations and to pay a few bills so I asked for a $10,000 loan. I should have known this would be worse mistake of my life. At no moment did the representative informed me I would be charged dollar for dollar. OneMain pays to advertise on CreditKarma to prey on those rebuilding their credit scores. I had an auto loan through them and when the car got booted due to unpaid parking tickets, neither the city nor the predatory lender (OneMain) would offer any form of assistance. The only form of assistance I ever received was a mailed noticed predated by two days. It allowed me zero days to settle on a lesser amount. Horrible! Intrest rate is so high, even when you do calculations your intrest rate seems to double in what you were originally told. Having a lawyer look into this, wish I had recorded my first visit in the branch and exactly what I was told because this has been a joke since day 1.

I was given 100% preapproval odds on CK for $5,000. I didn't really need that much, just $1,500 to get much needed dental work done. Well I applied and was given a call back and told I HAD to give collateral, and even then, I'd only get $3,000. Fine. Well then, they called back and it changed. They wanted to give me $1,000 for my car listed at $8,000 on KBB, so I could make $350/mo payments for 4 years. Even after paying back the $1,000 loan, they'd be getting nearly $16,000 from me. Nope. The company OneMain financial has no concern about the customer or their safety. They don't follow the laws and they renege on their promises to suit their needs. Took a loan and secured it using a 09 Chevy Malibu as collateral. Got sick and went to OneMain to ask for help with an additional loan for medical treatment I desperately needed.
