Prohibition ended in Nebraska on August 9th, 1933, and Ole's opened at 12:01 the next day. Since then, we've been known as the bar in Paxton with great food and unusual decor. Over the years, our founder, the great outdoorsman Ole Herstedt, embarked on adventures in big game hunting that took him to every continent. Food was really good. As a hunter I very much enjoyed all the big game displayed. Our waitress Karen was excellent. She was very friendly and engaging. We came all the way from Loveland, Co to eat at Ole’s and it was totally worth it!

My chicken fried chicken was not fully cooked but the waitress was a peach, all the other food good and l the stuffed animals worth seeing. Would go again.
