I highly recommend that any and everyone avoid this company at all costs. Last night due to a snow storm in my area my car got stuck. I called roadside assistance for help at 9 pm and waited with my car 2 hours in negative temperatures until 11 pm after being informed that they were still having trouble finding a company to tow my car. Between the hours of 11:33pm to 1:28am I received "We apologize for the delay. We are still working to secure service for your vehicle's needs. You should hear from us again shortly." CORF Everyone is telling us how good of a company Travelers is, until you have a claim with them. And certainly depends on the adjuster you are dealing with. If you are not agree with what they want to settle, they give you a lame excuse as the reason and if you ask them to talk to someone above their supervisor they tell you, the only one you can talk to is the adjuster or the supervisor you already disagree with. I am growing more and more displeased with this insurance carrier. Every audit they are demanding more and more money, and when bills are sent the actual amount due is not made clear. They immediately send you to a cut throat collections and has now blocked me from getting my policy reinstated. Customer service from this corporation to a small business has to date been pitiful!

Homeowners insurance coverage has always been a breeze, until I switched to Travelers a couple of months ago. They did not handle paperwork as promised, had the wrong address, requested that I haul off an old shed in the woods within 3 days, tear down the outer chimney cosmetic design (not an actual chimney), and sent new unexplained bills, all while wanting to cancel my policy. This all happened months after my coverage began. The most difficult company and biggest headache.

I am a very long-time customer with Traveler's - we have all our auto insurance as well as homeowners and an umbrella policy. We have recently filed a claim for a car accident. We have had great service with Travelers in the past. This time all that changed. I called the shop almost 3 weeks after the accident to check on the car. Looking forward to leaving this company and I am highly disappointed with having a clean driving record for numerous years. Nevertheless Travelers Insurance increase the monthly payment from $164 to $273. Note this is one accident which involved my car and another car backing up (less than 5 miles per hour) in a supermarket parking lot with no injuries, just a paint discoloration.

Been with Travelers for probably 30 years for auto insurance. Have made 3 claims for totalled cars. They have been excellent to deal with, responsive, informative, and fair. So far, I’m very happy with them.
