The nurses are so rude. They wouldn't give my family member a banana because he was a diabetic but yet his potassium is low. And he barely ate dinner. His sugar was low at dinner time. And then when he needed to use the restaurant we waited at least 20 minutes for someone to come in. I do not recommend this hospital!!
this is absolutely the worst hospital ever. they told me I couldn't deliver my baby here cause Im overweight.
I went today for a maternity tour waited at the reception desk for 15 min no one came then after looking around for another 15 min found the tour guide .. the rooms were not clean so were the bathrooms the entire hospital was dirty and dark. Then I found out that after you deliver they won’t even help you clean up you wait until you are able to take a shower so you’ll stay filthy for at least 2 hours plus if you have a kid (under 16) they won’t let him in the maternity center which means you wont see your kids for 2-3 days .... read more

The mental health department having Nurse Practitioner Allegra- she did not pay attention or listen to what I had to say. She even logged my information incorrectly into her notes. I had to get help from the nice receptionists so I could make 2 complaints on 2 separate occasions so I could speak to the "supervisor" that was really a doctor. She kept pushing antidepressants on me that kept making me suicidal! I got worse after my very first visit with her. I RAN out of her office telling her that SHE was going to make me hurt... read more
My daughter went into the ER yesterday with severe abdominal pains. They did blood work and an ultrasound… found nothing, sent her home with antibiotics for a supposed UTI. Severe pain continued through the night. Took her to Morristown ER the next morning, they did an ultrasound and quickly diagnosed appendicitis. Immediate surgery and all seems well. Very disappointed in the Newton ER… this should not have happened.
I cannot thank the ER team enough. The common sense and compassion everyone should was outstanding. The team nurse Hannah brought in to help make sure IV was one and done and nurse Sophia gentle care removing it. Thank you for treating a small child with such dignity
