RecommendedMy husband and I LOVE this hotel. The experience is like no other! Every staff member--check in, housekeeping, maintenance--are exceptional! During our last visit, Aisha Butler cheerfully checked us in to our wonderful room. There was one minor thing that needed attention and Monica in housekeeping promptly summoned maintenance for us. I purchased a Groupon and I was extremely impressed! They had hot cider in the lobby at check in, my husband and I even got a hot toddy!! When we got to our room there were cookies and milk!!! They were like homemade delicious cookies!!! Breakfast was great too. The only downside was the pool was cold and the room was not ready any earlier than check in time (which you can never expect the room would be ready early, but it would have been nice). I was charged a $25 “amenity fee” for WiFi and “tourism fee” for a one night stay. Most hotels offer free WiFi and this was not made clear I would be charged when connecting. I’m an IT professional, and certainly not a tourist as we have many clients in Newport. This was not brought to my attention until it was slipped under my door as a receipt. Perfect view and location never used my car once everything walking distance!! Room nice and clean. Staff was very friendly
Nice hotel. Enjoyed a conference rate for 2 nights at $319. Booked an extra night and had to pay $543 with taxes and a $75 “amenity fee” location is nice but this is nowhere near worth that price.
