We were there to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversary and we loved the hotel. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and it is in the heart of newport. You can walk out to the habor, shops and restaurants. We loved the habor view from our room, it is pretty to look at the either night or day.

Hotel was nice older, expensive obviously for what you get. location was perfect!!!!! You are on the harbor the harbor view room is worth it if staying at this hotel. Walking distance to everything. Rooms were small only 1 small elevator no assistance with checking in bags etc. parking is 25$ a day.
Comfy beds and stunning harbor views. Staff was very nice. I took one star away because the music in the tiny elevators was irritatingly loud. Like really loud. Not pleasant at 7 in the morning when you're having a conversation with someone.
