Soulless and inhumane. Everyone I have dealt with constantly lies through their teeth. They are vexatious with paperwork, lying about losing it or assailing physicians with repeats of repeats. The absolute insanity in trying to claim clinically proven POTS and narcolepsy, amongst other conditions, aren't truly "disabling" is mind boggling. Has anyone gotten a settlement offer on a *** claim? If so, did you take or continue to receive what you were receiving? And if you didn't take it, have they upped the amount that their willing to give you?

We sent ************ an email on September 19, 2023 to obtain more information and try to assist with the concerns she is having. If ************ is willing to provide more information to us - incident number for her claim, DOB, etc - we'd be glad to look into this further.

NY Life is the worst company I have ever dealt with! The customer service is astounding on how unhelpful they are. I have been on a medical leave for a Transplant since June, and it has been a fight and constant call ins to figure out why I am not being paid since being approved, customer support agents don't know what happening. Dealing with NY life is a nightmare! They have no empathy, its all about getting through their day as quick as possible. My std were approved for a couple of months, after that it was denied. They said not enough reason to continue. Even all the cat scan, X-ray and other documentation were provided. If it wasnt enough information, why was it approved for 2 months? I chose them for a long term disability company. Everything was fine when they were taking my money. It was time to file a claim and they kept requesting more records and badgering my doctors. They didnt seem to understand some complex medical language and couldnt grasp what the doctors report was saying. Denied after 4 months of waiting. They also lie about not receiving paperwork. My Shot term was approved. I was told my first check would be mailed. I later tried the mynyl website and it showed that I had a payment sent EFT on 8/10/33 and another on 8/22/23. I never received them. I spoke to advocate number one and was told it was my account and routing numbers, those turned out to be correct. I was told both checks would be reissued and I would receive them in 24 hours. Advocate number 2 told me that they were now in investigations and my case worker would contact me. I cannot believe my employer changed to New York Life this was my first experience ever using short term disability this has been heroic very stressfulthe online advocate gives different information thats obviously incorrect I have downloaded transcripts and the dashboard doesnt have accurate information my STD extension claim review was suppose to take 5 business day and the website states that someone would keep me updated through this process that would have been helpful.but that is ABSOLUTELY FALSE advertisement Im going... read more

I was taken off work for surgery on July 13th, 2023 and I was supposed to be off for 6 weeks. The last 13days denied. I still haven't received one check either way. I'm going to inform the company of how I was treated. I would not recommend this company.

If I could give them a zero I would! This company is the worst! They are horrible to deal with. I have been out with a crippling illness. My Doctor has filled out so much paperwork its insane. They must think these physicians only have one patient. My claim manager is horrible! She sounds annoyed that you are calling and they have zero concern that your finances are at stake!
