I dont know where to start. I filed my claim in November due to racing thoughts/ being unable to focus/ suicidal ideation/ ptsd and major depression. New York Life ************** is a scam. You pay tens of thousands of dollars over the years then can't qualify because you "don't check the boxes." I would NEVER recommend wasting your money on this! My father was an agent for NYLife for over 45 years (died 4 years ago) and now my mom (his wife) can't get her LTC benefits even though her physician said "she needs assisted living." My doctor noted my depression was so bad I was bed ridden, that my anxiety had worsen and that due to the the toxic hostile work environment I was in I could not get out of bed. In addition, I was having frequent vertigo and panic attacks. I needed to be medicated to start getting better. Yet, the ** life "medical experts" deemed me able to work during this horrific period of my life. This feels like medical negligence. I am shocked and appalled that I need to appeal this decision.

Nightmare! Ive had the same experience as almost all others on here. As of today Im on my 3rd case manager for neck fusion surgery I had in September. They closed my claim for no reason 4 weeks post op, and 3 weeks prior to the post opt appointment with my surgeon. Almost 2 months of run around, excuses about not getting records, more excuses, ZERO communication, responsiveness or anything I find out my STD claim is denied 2 weeks ago. Failure to listen to the customer overcharged for policies to the customer refuse to help to resolve the problem

Based on the information the customer provided we are unable to determine which specific claim they are referring to. We sent the customer an email on December 19, 2023 to obtain more information and try to assist with the concerns she is having. To date, the customer has not responded. If the customer is willing to provide more information to us customers name, incident number for their claim, DOB, etc - we'd be glad to look into this further.
I have been calling my worker and leaving messages as my doc released me 3 hrs a day to see if i could do it I have had no response from nyld.i am supposed to send in my paystub but have no idea where to send it. Nobody will return my calls as I have bills to pay and can't on 3 hrs a day I need a check from them for the difference ,i don't know what to do u can't talk to anybody there

Checking off one star for NY Life seems too generous. I bought a 3 year fixed annuity that came due 6 weeks ago. I requested they remit the proceeds as swiftly as they could b/c I was making another investment. They said it could take two weeks or so, possibly a bit longer but never more than 4 weeks. This review is echoing all the other terrible reviews of this company. Not once have I heard from my claim advocate, so I never know whats going on with my claim. Like others said, they claim to never get documents and always need something else from my doctor. Ill say that each time I call and speak with someone, they are kind and professional but that is all. I even tried to get a call back from a manager to complain and never heard back.
