Horrible customer service! I went online in late November to check the status of a 3 year annuity that matured on Nov 30, 2023. I asumed it was a glitch and would be resolved ina *** or two. I reported an issue with accessing my online account on Dec 1st and was told it would be resolved in 5-7 business ***s. To*** is Dec 13th and I still cannot access my account and I cannot withdraw money from a mature annuity.My agent called and got the same runaround. I called New York life three times about my paid up life insurance policy and was always put on hold many times while they connected to the "correct contact needed". I provided them all policy identification numbers. After about 40 minutes they hung up each time. I finally found out I could get information from my state *************. see below for my contact. I have been waiting on a response for my short term disability claim for almost 2 months and have not been paid to date. I feel there is no sense of urgency being that every time I call they say the nurse case manager has 5-7business days to review then I called again today 12/11/23 and they said they requested additional clarification and itll be another 5-7business days. I feel like they do not care about people well being. You cant speak to a manager or anything. Im wondering if my HR **** could put some sense of urgency ... read more

We understand the customers frustration regarding delays with the decision on her claim. The plan requires proof of Disability for a claimant to receive benefits. Often this investigation can cause delays with receiving medical documentation to make a determination. In this case, as each piece of information was received, we determined it was insufficient to prove that the customer was Disabled, which led to additional requests from the treatment provider. WOW!!!!! ZERO STARS FOR SURE!!! AND I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!!! I can't believe i actually pay for this crappy service! I pay for extra protection in case i need it. And now i need it and they don't give a rats ass!!!! I call every single day and they give me the same stupid answer...5 to 7 days has turned into a month!!!! Making my illness worse cause now i have to worry about money!!!! Why do we pay for this crap? My doctors have sent them everything under the moon and they still can't make a decision??????? I dont even know where to start with this review. My application for *** is been pending for 3+ months. Medical records I have submitted by myself through their portal, as well by my drs office are claimed not to be received. My case worker does not return calls for days, and every deadline I was given by him for the decision have passed like they were never given. This Company is unbelievable. I was sick with heart failure out of work for 9 months. They pad me for 2 weeks. Then said they need paperwork never telling me what paperwork until one guy called me he said the notes from my doctors visit I gave them those and they still was saying they need paperwork. I had my doctor send my complete medical history and they block my login on there website . First off, I should have look these con artists up on this site first. Here's my ripoff story. In 2015 I called New York Life AARP and discussed a life insurance policy. When the sales rep told me that it would be like putting some of my money into a savings account that I could get back after I cancelled I was excited and agreed. All the paperwork sent to me was signed and returned. Today I closed my account - 8 years later - expecting a chunk of money returned from that 'savings account'. I decided to write this review to describe how terrible my claim was handled.How can they manipulate the system and get away with that.People definitely deserve better short term disability. How this Nyl short-term disability with no integrity.How much pain and suffer caused by this awful human beings working for this nyl with heart of stone and robotic thinking. Based on the information the customer provided we are unable to determine which specific claim they are referring to. We sent the customer an email on December 7, 2023 to obtain more information and try to assist with the concerns she is having. To date, the customer has not responded. If the customer is willing to provide more information to us customers name, incident number for their claim, DOB, etc - we'd be glad to look into this further.

By far the absolute worst short term disability company Ive had the displeasure of working with. I submit my paperwork an entire month before I went on medical leave. (August) its now December and Ive received a check for one week. ONE. My bills are past due and I have no money for food. Absolute shame on this company. If I dont have any checks by Friday I am absolutely getting my attorney involved.
