I went on FMLA and short term disability for a scheduled surgery. Six weeks in, after repeatedly uploading forms, my case is still 'under review'. I have never once been able to speak to my case manager, and am instead handed off to representatives who tell me the same thing I can read on the website. They were glad to ****** up my money when I was paying into the account, but avoidant when time to pay on a claim. Good luck if you have to deal with these weasels.
Its a joke. They lie and say 5-8 days youll know if youre approved or not. They are telling me when I can return to that workplace when I absolutely am not returning!!! Its toxic and traumatic! New York life dont give two craps and they have a return date of 11/11/23 without even paying ME!

We regret that this customer has had a difficult claim experience. Our claim staff spoke to the customer by phone November 1, 2023, confirming for her why her claim has not yet been able to be approved. At this time we are in need of additional information to be able to make a determination on this claim. Should she have further questions she may contact our claim staff at ************.
This company handled my short-term disability/FMLA through my work for maternity leave and their entire process was nothing but a pain in the rear-end. I had to call them at least once a week for clarification, renew something, check being bounced, fixing dates, it was just a constant headache and took away from the time I was meant to be focused on relaxing and bonding with my newborn. It wasn't the customer service's fault, they probably did as much as they could; but I definitely shouldn't have had to call them as much as... read more

How do you close out a claim without notifying me of additional paperwork or insufficient documentation to extend my short term disability when you gave IN DOCUMENTATION that I had until November 1st and I haven't even been released by my treating physician. Haven't had my full exam and not even given the full 6 weeks required for me to be off to recovery!!! If this affects my job I will be contacting a lawyer!!
Terrible company to work for. They are allowed to treat employees with disabilities any way they wish. They dont need to provide accommodations or help in anyway. I would not recommend this place for employment

I would give them 0 stars if I could! My first day out of works was 9/21. I have exhausted all of my sick time. The only time I have available now is my vacation. Terrible company, wldoesnt work with the claimant at all, time lines are outrageously long, going weeks without any compensation, days without any answers. And even longer wait times for them to process an electronic form which should be able to process within minutes. They delay payments, ignore requests, and are just downright rude and unprofessional. Dropping this company ASAP, do yourself a favor and just avoid these scam artists
THIRD PARTY ADMINISTRATOR FAIL The chronic pervasive pattern of mistakes, errors, failures, lack of follow through, lying by omission, blatant lies, and the inability to provide correct information, is incomprehensible.
