My Shot term was approved. I was told my first check would be mailed. I later tried the mynyl website and it showed that I had a payment sent EFT on 8/10/33 and another on 8/22/23. I never received them. I spoke to advocate number one and was told it was my account and routing numbers, those turned out to be correct. I was told both checks would be reissued and I would receive them in 24 hours. Advocate number 2 told me that they were now in investigations and my case worker would contact me. I was taken off work for surgery on July 13th, 2023 and I was supposed to be off for 6 weeks. The last 13days denied. I still haven't received one check either way. I'm going to inform the company of how I was treated. I would not recommend this company.
If I could give them a zero I would! This company is the worst! They are horrible to deal with. I have been out with a crippling illness. My Doctor has filled out so much paperwork its insane. They must think these physicians only have one patient. My claim manager is horrible! She sounds annoyed that you are calling and they have zero concern that your finances are at stake! I am at a lost of words because I thought my issue was just me. This has been the most stressful time of Mt life. I have been out of work since June 10th, PTO ran out quickly, they approved my FMLA but denied my STD claim. Now I am appealing and I will be back to work before they make a decision. 5 weeks without a check at and so many bills. My first claim rep NEVER once called me and talked to me. Absolutely the worst! My company changed from CIGNA to NY life benefit solutions and it is the worst process ever. I had a scheduled surgery so I started the process prior to surgery. They advised I needed to call on day on surgery which is crazy..I would be IN SURGERY when they open. I had to call the day after while in extreme pain just to ensure I got paid. If I was able to rate them 0 stars I would. I have had a horrible time with my short term disability claim. I filed 6/22/23 and today is 8/8/2023 and have not gotten a payment to date. I have only spoken to my case manager two times despite putting in several request for her to contact me. I have used the chat function on the website several times and every single time I get into contact with them something else is needed, its the least fun **** go round I've ever been on. Horrible they take forever you never get a clear answer. Youll be waiting for weeks and weeks for them to say they need more info. I would make sure you have at least 6 weeks of living on hand. You talk to a different person every time that cant give you the answers you need, they just tell you to wait and see.If I could choose I would never use them again. But my employer uses them.
Absolutely horrible do not deal with this his company either save your money if you can before a LOA or become a DD.. I am serious these people will not process your claim you will wait and wait for a check and you Will call and call and call nobody cares. Trust me they do not care!!!!!
