i recently have had my information stolen and someone tried to use my account. Netspend acted quickly and froze my card and account(without notifying me) when i called customer service they told me the situation and said they would mail me a card in 1 to 2 business days. here we are almost 2 weeks later and no card. I called customer service to see what the problem was and they said no card was ever ordered! they assured me AGAIN that a card would be mailed to me in 1 to 2 business days. I received a Netspend debit card in the mail unsolicited. The correspondence that the card was affixed to indicates"[I]f you don't want this card, please dispose of it securely". I resent companies imposing on me an obligation to dispose of something I never requested in the first place. Additionally, I object to the nature of this business which appears to be charging people to access their own money for the marginal benefit of receiving it a couple days earlier than would otherwise be the case. This company is awful. I loaded over $300 dollars on their netspend prepaid visa, and I tried to activate my card, but they couldn't for whatever reason. So I wanted my money back, and I was put on hold for over 2 hours!!! and I still don't have my money back.

My debit card was recently stolen, activated,and used by thieves!!! A total of over $1800 was stolen from me, I called the police immediately when I realized that my card was being used, I've submitted a police report to NetSpend, I've done everything that they've asked me to do and send in. Now Netspend is telling me that I have to wait a whole month before they can give me an update as to what their decision will be. this company is so bad . never experienced such bad service no body know anything reasons ect . no hire up to talk to closing accounts . so upset . if i get this issue fixed i will never recommend this company to anyone worst ever

My money was taken from me by a Chase ATM. I filled the dispute with Netspend who still have not refunded my money, I am unsure what the hold up is I provided everything! I do mean everything I sent them a written and typed statement regarding the dispute (signed by me). I also sent in the receipt I received from the ATM with the error code and sequence number. This is a horrible experience!

Recieved a prepaid card with 12yo nephews name printed on it. Not only is he a minor he doesn’t even live in the U.S. I contacted their customer support and they are unable to tell me how they got his information. They told me his information will be removed from the system.

I was reading the reviews here and noticed that there seems to be trend of poor customer service from NETSPEND, closing customers accounts without any authorization at their discretion, and some other unethical practices. However, what I don't understand is how such a business can continue to operate with such practices. As my mother would say, "If everybody is saying the same thing then it must be true about the allegations". This NETSPEND company is not only a joke but needs to be out of business. Hello, I have not received my dd as of today, 2/15/2018, cannot get any information at this time from Netspend. I emailed Netspend customer service yesterday, (2/14/2018), and received a 'watered down response, (you last received your dd on Jan, etc)! I have been with Netspend since Jan, 2011, and this is not how you treat anyone especially when dealing with their hard earned funds!
