Do not buy these cards. It's a total scam. You buy the card at the store, who takes your money and "puts" it on the card. If the purchaser is under 18, you can't use the card and your money is gone. If you are over 18, then you have to fill out an online account with your personal information, including your social security number. Then they demand you email them copies of your driver's license and a utility bill. Then they decide that's not enough and want your social security card, too. If there was a negative star rating that's what I would give them. They are crooks and should not be allowed to operate under the western union logo and all cards should not be allowed to be sold as prepaid cards. I was given a card that I have been using for months and I had all the information that the customer service representative said would be required to use it when the person I got it from called with me and I set the pin number and upon loading the card somehow it got cancelled during the loading but it still took m... read more

Boy oh boy what can I say about Netspend or meta bank this place will put you in a messed up situation me and my kids are basically homeless the worst place ever

Awful customer service. Had to call 3 times in one hour to speak to a supervisor,otherwise I'd be left on hold for up to one plus hours....I've done business with this company for more than 3 years,the only good thing I can say is I like getting paid a day early,but the customer service problem is the reason I do not recommend this company...the representatives do not value customers.....I wonder if they knew they wouldn't have their jobs if it wasn't for the customers...?

This company is the worst. I am only using this company because my job requires it for the time being. I filed 3 disputes on October 9th, they told me to wait till the 23rd for an update. Today is the 23rd and Im being told that I have to wait till December 2nd for the next update and that provision credit is not being applied to my account. I bought a pre paid card for 2.95 so that I could make a purchase of 26.39 so I put 27.00 on the card when I went to make the purchase it was declined because netspend wanted to charge me another dollar fee. I called to complain and ask to have the .39 that I was short waived since I already paid 2.95 and only wanted a card to use once. I was put on hold by Lexi and sat there on the phone for 34 minutes. I'm not even gonna leave a star I was forced to leave one star but.... I've been waiting to get my direct deposit from them and they keep giving me the same scripted CSR message... I've been with netspend over 4 years now and its unbelievable that my direct deposit was sent on fri and they have no explanation on why I can't get my money but I have my check stub stating it was deposited....all I get is I'm sorry but as soon as we receive it we'll send you a text.....
