My account was close due to fraud I had been a customer for about 5 years a couple of weeks ago I called to report that I tunes was taking out money out of my account with out me knowing why or for what I called NetSpend and a incompetent employee said she blocked my card and no other charges would be charged to my account the next day another charge from I tunes was charged when I called the NetSpend employee that answered said the other employee put a stop on a canceled card I was out raged and told the employee if that ma... read more

Steer clear of this company. You buy a pre-paid card from them and you'll never be able to access your own funds. Plus you have to give them your SSN, address info, etc. which you don't know if you just happen to buy and load a card from your local Walmart (or any other store). You give them your money before you even know that they'll have you agreeing to their bull crap loop hole terms and policies. Terrible Service three times I sent my personal information to these people. it's something when you had a social security security number since you were born and every other financial institution in the country can find you and check your credit with it just fine but this company says they can't find or validate it to be a real social security number.ive emailed them personal bank statements drivers license and social security card and still there system can't validate a American citizen I'm starting to wonder if their Amer... read more

My grandmother bought me one of the cards thinking it was a regular Visa gift card. After trying to activate it, I was told they would need my ID, social security card, and an utility bill. I explained the situation to them and the first representative offered to activate the card a limited use card. Basically, I can only use it in person. Whatever. I agreed. I got a supposed prepaid visa card from a friend as a gift for Christmas that supposedly had $50 on it. I called to activate it and like an idiot typed my social security number into the phone after they asked for it (I haven't used one of these in many years, so have no idea what and all is required). For some reason it would not activate, so I hung up and called the number. My husband was given a $20 Visa prepaid card as a Secret Santa gift. The package indicates that the person who bought the card paid $2.95 to purchase/load money on the card. Once he took the card out of its package, my husband realized he had to activate the card. The activation process is insane, requesting his social security number and birthdate. tried to get a refund for a card i never activated. Called their number and wast not an option for speaking to an agent to cancel. I had to go through the process of activating the card before i was transferred to an agent only because i did not want to give my social security number. What a scam. Why do you need my social security number. I am not applying for a credit card. I already paid to receive this card. All i needed to do is activate or cancel. Terrible experience.

I reported fradulent activity on my card in the amount of $49.50 on 12/19/2018. I was told I needed to send an email with specific information so I can get a "temporary" credit while my case is being investigated. I called today, 12/21/2018 and was told the money will NOT be in my account until January!!!! I have money in several reputable banks and have ALWAY received a "temporary credit" in minutes. But with this sham of a bank, I need to wait two weeks!!! After this is resolved, I will be closing my account with Metabank!

There are no stars less than -1 There was an unauthorized transaction on my account I submitted the requested documents. I called and requested to speak with a Manager because the person with very little English understanding closed and locked my account so I have no online access (not what I asked for) I have now been holding for 30 minutes she has not come back to the line.
