My account was closed on Wednesday,but I was not notified. My employer needed a statement stating the account has been closed and it's like pulling teeth getting ahold of someone with NetSpend. I cannot get my money and pay any bills and this has been very stressful.

Horrible service I will not recommend my worst enemy to deal with these people. They will screw up on their end and close your account due to the mess up and hold your money. They closed my account to protect me and my identity so obviously someone on there end has my info and on top of all of that making me wait to receive a check for my own money. Their overdraft protection plan states there is a maximum of 4 overdraft fees that can be charged per calender month. I was charged 7. I called numerous times and was on hold for hours, promised to be called back which never happened and treated horribly. They will lose my service. Not only are they doing false advertising but have the worst customer service ever.

I wrote a complaint about this company and their gift card policies last week. I received a response saying I would not need to give out personal information and would be refunded the $150 they stole off a gift card I received. So I replied back with the gift card number to be refunded. Now they are wanting my personal phone number to get this worked out. I've been trying to dispute a charge with them for a month now. The lies from the CS reps are astonishing. Nobody has their story straight, I'm told conflicting info from multiple reps, managers either never pick up or make you wait an hour on hold just to be rude to you and/ or hang up on you. TSYS is the parent company im in contact with now including dealing with the FTC on my issue. And all of this over a $41 charge.

Total scam: a family member purchased what were advertised as "prepaid" cards as gifts to my wife and I. I had to go through the intrusive process of giving them all kinds of personal information which seems insane considering these are prepaid cards. However, I was able to use the card without further issue. My wife did not set up an account or use her card immediately; when she did attempt to activate it, the online service said that it had expired. Netspend cards are being sent out as junk mail. I did not request the card but received it in the US Mail. DO NOT ACTIVATE the cards Customer service is awful!
