My name is Sarah *****P**** I haven't received my SSI direct deposit for $2300.00 that was deposited by SSI on Tuesday March 5th 2019 at 3:12 p.m.. that has been verified. The very next day I checked my funds and there was nothing there so then I wreceived a call from a rep at the Austin Texas corporate office of Netspend and he assured me that it takes 3 to 5 business days for routing/account transfers and he told me to check my balance on Friday March 8th 2019 and it should be there because he assured me it was "en route" ... read more

NOT EVEN A ONE STAR RATING!!! Beware Beware Beware Avoid Netspend!!!! I had my paycheck direct deposited to a Netspend prepaid card and was able to use the card for two weeks. Then today I received a text message from Netspend saying that there may be a problem with my Netspend card and that I needed to call them before further using it. When I call I was then told by one of their representatives that my account had been locked until my identity could be verified! I bought this thinking it was a gift card several years ago. Card is expired when I looked it up today. However, Netspend has continued charging an "account maintenance" fee. I've never used the card. I want to cancel it, and the only way do it is to call. There is no way you shouldn't be able to cancel this card online. I do not want to spend my time haggling with these people. Do NOT purchase these cards.

no stars due to money being stolen..i had the card in my possession and two fraud charges of over 1000 dollars where charged... i had netspend before and cancelled due to this happening before. It has been over two weeks and no one has reached out. I am scared they are going to take my money because it income tax time. I just reordered a new card with hopes that this resolved quickly. Yesterday my card was locked by netspend. After going through a stressful day yesterday on the phone with several customer reps. I asked to be contacted by the corporate office. Someone called me first thing this morning from the corporate office saying that he was unlocking my card. And he did. I paid a invoice. Drove to the bank to get a cash Advance, guess what? They locked my card again.

They sent a pre approved card to a minor in the mail. Are they trying to have my child's identity stolen. This is a corrupt busyness that need to be out of business. Every time my child would have done anything with this company there were fees. They are preying on minors who are should never have been sent a pre approved card.

Honestly this company deserves to be rated 0 stars. They are one of the worse prepaid companies I've had dealings with. In addition to the outrageous fees they are poor when it comes down to communication, which makes them even more inconveniencing. I've dealt with the fees as well as the insolent customer service representatives for as long as I can remember so when my account is closed due to it being a "risk factor" and my online account is locked that deeply concerns me. This Corporation is sending out cards to anyone including minors. They say it is just marketing materials. No harm. They say if someone fills out survey online they could be a target to received one of their debit cards. Based on the reviews left here looks to be a company to stay away. Only gave one star as the system will not allow none.

The mobile app freezes. You can not check any of your banking information. If you try to check online it too freezes. Trying to email the corporation gets you nowhere as they do not return emails. You do have the option to call and check your balance however they charge you to do so! I feel as if this is a complete scam. They want to take your money with no help!
