I have bought the cards in the past no issue. This time issue and until today the last card bought then cant activate until i supply the documents yet again. That is ridiculous when no store I have found does a reload. Mind you i have done the id verifixlcaTion twice and using my correvt information. They said a check would come ten days later to refund minus fees. What fees???
I would give -10 if I could. I have been a Netspend user for over 8 years. Never had a problem, loved the card. However, this month someone hacked into my account. When I checked my profile on the Netspend website I noticed my email and phone number was changed. I called Netspend immediately to report the discrepancy. They sent me another card. I activated and then someone changed my pin #. I again called to report it. They promised me they would not let any changes made to my profile without some precautions. It happened ag... read more

Man talk about a company that kicks you while your down. I was attempting to get a prepaid VISA and learned during activation the company requests personal identifiable info and then wanted scanned copies of info. Called company, rep said only option was to send in info, I declined, she then said go to store and get refund, I advised the store said card was activated and that wasn't an option, she insisted, I said let's do conference call, she declined, offering instead to restrict card to in store purchase. Filed a dispute 7/29/19 here we are 8/29/19 and no update no response no nothing they provide a support email for the dispute department JUST for you to only receive a scripted response no matter how many times you reach out to the support email and no matter how you word your concerns you will only receive the SAME MESSAGE over and over again this company is a joke there is far to many other options available to be dealing with a company that does not handle your concerns IN A TIMELY MANOR or at least allow you to talk to a... read more
My 18 year old son received a packet in the mail. He has no credit, so we were surprised to find a Mastercard attached to the letter. When you read more into it, it is promoted as a prepaid Mastercard where you can get paid up to 2 days faster when you use their direct deposit. They are vague with how much the transaction fees will cost you. The entire thing is scammy and very much unsolicited.

They stole over 700 dollars for me and basically left me stranded 300 miles from home. They can not be trusted with your money. They are crooks!!!
I am FURIOUS! I have NEVER had a Netspend card, only prepaid card I’ve had is Ace Elite and last week (08/07/2019) I purchased this card at Walmart and loaded $110 on the card. When I called to activate it I was told they could not open it and will send me a check for the amount. I was told the check was not sent out until 08/12/2019 and I won’t get it until possibly 08/21/2019!
