On 2 separate occasions I have pushed the call light for my dad. Each time it took over 15 minutes for anyone to answer. I walk down to the nurses station and there is at least 5 people sitting there laughing and talking! Come on nurses..we were taught better than that! A PCA stood leaned up against the wall two doors down...just standing there! I feel sorry for the patients who have no one in their rooms to help them! RecommendedI brought my mom to ER Jan2. She has been in hospital for 11 nights. She had to have a major surgery on her stomach. ( bowel obstruction) because of her hiatus hernia.she was cut open, Dr had to pull her upper stomach down. She had several tubes on her.The surgery was hard on her. We had to deal with a few other things, She had a feeding tube in her stomach. It came out yesterday, she’s eating on her own. She trying hard to be strong and she’s getting better. I LOVEEEEEEEEE this hospital! As well as the women’s clinic!! Great staff! My nurse Kayla every apt she was the BEST!!! Dr Ketchum is THE BEST!!! And labor and delivery THE BEST STAFF EVER!!! Their patient care is the best !! I was so nervous for labor and not knowing what to expect but it turned out better than I can imagine ! Even when it was time for discharge, everyone made sure I was comfortable, they weren’t in a rush to hurry and get me out. They took their time. Do not try to book an appointment with the womens clinic here. NOBODY knows how to do their job here. My original appointment was booked in JULY! Since then I have YET to be seen for my annual appointment. Today I got a call confirming my appointment for Tuesday. And then two minutes later I got a call to reschedule my appointment AGAIN! Let the love ones of patients see their family. My mother had surgery and I drove a 70 mile round trip to see her. She is 87 yrs. Old and didnt know If I would ever see her again. They stop me at the emergency room door and check my temperature which was good, and I was wearing a mask. They denied access to see my mother and told me I would have to go back and set in my car with it pouring down rain. I ended up leaving without seeing my mother. I can never get anyone to answer my phone calls to even attempt to get my bill taken care of. and when they do answer im on hold for 30+ minutes. not to mention my actual hospital visit I was in excruciating pain and the Dr i saw told me there was nothing wrong with me and the ER was for surgeries only. the nurse that put my iv in stabbed one of my arteries and made me bleed literally evewhere and I couldn't move my warm for days because it was so sore. after all that they decided to bill me 2 grand. so if you need to see a ... read more
