I was so excited to open an account with them based on all the things I heard, well in my case nothing has been great. The credit union doesn’t protect or care for consumers and have no sympathy! I will be closing by account ASAP and hope the never put another person in a situation as they did me. I’ve also file a complaint with CFPB! I will not stop until my voice is heard. Seeing the reviews below I wish I did my research before

Terrible. Never use them to refinance. We applied for the va loan in May. They tell us today they closed the file. My husband was a few months short of 6 years and we didn’t even realize that. Getting the COE should’ve been the first step. Wasted our time and theirs.

Navy Federal Credit Union stole $67 from me and supervisors do not escalate calls. It all started when I visited Mexico with my son two years ago. My son asked me to make a purchase at a souvenir shop. The cashier swiped my card a number of times then claimed there was a problem with the system and requested cash. I repeatedly asked whether the transaction went through and the cashier assured me it did not! I returned to the US and within a few days discovered the charge was on my account. Bearing in mind, I have thousands o... read more

There is no statement balance and due date info for my navy federal credit card after I log into my navy federal account, there is no way for to setup automatic payment. They ignore my complaint and does not improve user experience. Very incompetent !

If you don't provide exemplary feedback, ones reviews don't get published at NFCU's Ratings and Reviews. The standards for what is appropriate is arbitrary and capacious. After 40 plus years with NFCU, I am going to cancel all my accounts, business and personal, because of the lack of transparency and an inability to leave realistic feedback regarding its supposed benefits. They can keep me from leaving appropriate feedback regarding their third party "cell phone protection benefits" as a Flagship Rewards Credit Card holder,... read more
