This company should be ashamed of calling themselves a bank that serves military. We fight for our country and they can even protect our accounts. I disputed an unauthorized transaction and they refuse to help saying I didn’t provide proof of cancelation. I say how can I prove I canceled something I never authorized in the first place?? I had a terrible experience with Woot who delivered merchandise I didn't order and charged my credit card. After numerous, (7 attempts), to return the merchandise I filed a fraud complaint with Navy Federal, they wouldn't accept it until the charge had posted and when it did I contacted them again. I was told by email there would be followup and I should get my records in order which I did in the form of the numerous emails between myself and Woot and I then waited to be contacted watching my email. No support for Zelle fraud. Navy Federal Credit Union is not strong, safe and secure with your money. They did nothing to help me recoup a $500 fraudulent loss. They should not offer Zelle at all or have a giant warning. The credit union has the ability and power to get the contact information of the deceiver from Zelle. Instead, I got a Dear John letter. No caring or support whatsoever. Not like our military!

I'm beyond irritated with Navy Federal right now. I have an auto loan through another company and applied for a refinance through navy federal yesterday. I owed $9400 on my auto loan and put a $2200 payment on there before I requested a refinance of $7200. I called NavyFed and gave them a heads up that the payoff quote would be different than the automated system, but if they speak to a representative, they'll get the correct amount. The loan officer called me back and told me I was approved for a $7200 loan at 8.65% interes... read more

11/04/2019 Ah yes....another day in **** thanks to Navy Federal. Now they said my first underwriter (yes, I am on my second one!) didn't "clear my income" like they were supposed to. This should have been done very early on. Was supposed to sign either today or tomorrow so that isn't happening anymore. Can't be stated enough.....DON'T GET A MORTGAGE HERE!! We have been trying to get a refinance mortgage since late July 2019, it is now November and we still have no closing date. As a long time NFCU customer, we are deeply disappointed in the lack of service, communication, progress, & response from our loan handler and supervisor in the Pensacola Florida Mortgage Dept. We've had a previous loan with NFCU, and never had this type of miserable experience before with any lender. I don't know what has changed with NFCU, but it needs serious revision. I would ABSOLUTELY give this credit union zero stars if the option was available at this point. To start I have been a member for over thirteen years and in the past two-three years Navy Federal Credit Union has turned into everything else in a American... a cash dispensary taken from the working class (those of us who are mainly paycheck to paycheck with average to low credit scores), meanwhile individuals who join for the perks and then leave are treated like royalty. I am having the same experience as the previous reviewer, total lack of communication and or cooperation from the mortgage dept... even when i contacted the supervisor, I still get no response. therefore cannot move on with processing my application. Very frustrating. The bank gets less than one star from me.
