Applied for mortgage a month ago. No contact from loan officer. I called 5 times and emailed three. I asked at one point to change loan from VA since I am not military. I called a moment ago and was told by telephone rep loan had been denied for VA since I was not military. Said I need to submit new application and credit pull again! Outrageous...why can't they just switch the loan type and save our recent credit pull? Very unprofessional! I am extremely upset.
I left my card at a Navy Federal branch’s ATM and someone stole it and made several purchases. I didn’t notice I lost my card until I was alerted that there may be fraud on my account. I told them that I left my card at the ATM and that the chargers were not me. I got a police report and went to the branch and told them to look at the cameras to show that it was not me. Months later, I got a letter stating that I needed to pay the money back because they found no mistake. No other bank that I have had has EVER did this. I ne... read more
I started a home refinance on September 23, 2019. I uploaded my documents for my loan usually the same day requested by NFCU or at most the next day. In the beginning I would get emails and phone calls stating my refinance is actively be worked and thanking me for being patient. In early December when I complained about the loan process and no rate lock I was assigned to another mortgage processor. In January, when no further progress was made, I was assigned another loan processor. In the meantime I still received calls sta... read more
These people are arrogant and awful. They just screwed over myself and my father, both veterans with solid credit ratings and were uppity enough to use garbage excuses to end a conversation without answering our questions. I was generally polite despite my frustration and the way I was treated was garbage. The suit I spoke to was an arrogant functionary and I would prefer never to have that experience again. Bank somewhere else.
1st and foremost ... this business approved a 19 yr old with no credit history a credit card with a 17,000.00 credit limit because he is in the military. Guaranteed money I presume. I have been POA for this particular 19 yr old for approx 1 1/2 years. I had to submit and resubmit POA information multiple times before it was put on the account correctly. And even though I call every single month ... sometimes (every 3rd time) I have issues with being able to pay for him. Customer service is terrible.
Holding funds even when they are extended due to them thinking fraudulent things were taking place on my daughter’s acct. After waiting and being patient they will NOT release her funds because they feel as though I am impersonating her when she was next to me on the phone. My daughter is a MINOR I will be here to speak on behalf of my daughter regardless if I am on the acct or not. My mother who they have verified by contacting her is her joint owner. We already opened another account with another institute. We were given f... read more

I have four credit unions that I use. From applying to credit for auto loans to opening secured and unsecured lines of credit this is hands-down the worst bank I have ever worked with. What they offer compared to what they deliver are different in every one of our encounters. I open the secured line and even with good credit and a very positive history they have no no definition of a timeline in which it will be unsecured essentially telling me there’s no real way to tell when they’ll allow me to have my money back. Thanks I... read more
The NFCU completely mislead me when I opened a cd. They opened it w/out telling me that there was a 3,000. maximum on their special offering. I opened it w/ a larger amt. and was not informed at that time all of the amt. would not qualify for the cd. It was processed in the amt. I deposited and was not until I got my monthly statement that showed it was not in a cd but in a reg. savings acct. When I called to inquire about it was the first time I learned about the limit. Of course they apologized but the apology did not answ... read more
