I have been sitting in this ER waiting room for 5 hours with no help. My tonsils are so infected and swollen that I can barely swallow my own saliva and can barely talk. This hospital is a flat out JOKE. Everyone who has come in after me has been seen and put in room already. They've done 2 rounds of blood works, and a swab for strep.. but that was at 530am.. it is now 10:10.. they just told me they're trying to get me on the fast track out now. After waiting for 5 hours? The Rehab department is impressive with their modern equipment and highly educated staff. There are approximately 500 OT hand specialists in our country and Palmdale Regional has one!
I brought my 6 year old daughter because she was having chest pain (mind you she has a congential heart defect) got triage right away. But while being triaged the ER doctor told me we shouldn't be at the hospital because they have don't have a peds department let alone a pediatric cardiologist. Once they took us back into a room the nurse attending to my daughter was amazing. But unfortunately none of the ER staff knew anything about congential heart defects.
