When renting from National Car Rental at Chicago O'Hare don't be confused when you are dropped off at the Alamo rental counter. National and Alamo share the same counter even though there are no National signs. Pick up and drop off with National at O'Hare was the easiest process I have been through yet when renting a car. The staff at the rental counter were very friendly and helpful directing other customers who did not know their way around Chicago.

you people are friendly. i am a frequent traveller but not a member of emerald club, when i went to Portland. I was advised by one of your people to just get the car, but when i arrived at the check out gate, they realised that i don't have the necessary membership, it s good that you guys are always prepared and knows well how to handle situations like that.. thank you

Booking a car on the web-site is easy. Had to change the reservation and it was just as easy. Cars are in good condition, as member of the Emerald club the selection was great! The service is fast, courteous, and efficient.

I enjoy renting from National but the last year here they have not been offering many weekend rate specials. That has kept me from renting from National this past year. The people that work at the desk are always friendly.

Flew in to LAX 10/7 about 1030pm. Was surprised to see a line of people waiting outside Terminal 5 at the rental car pickup. the area is dark, congested, and pungent of exhaust odors, so not a place you want to be very long. We waited over an hour for a National bus to come and pick us up. in that time period, 2 busses drove by that said BUS FULL on them. In that time period at least 3 busses for every other name brand car rentals came by for their pickups, with Enterprise leading the way sending a bus about every 5-10 minut... read more

This is one of the worst locations I have had to rent from. Not many cars to pick from when I arrived and when I confronted a staff member about the car I picked being smoked in he did not do anything. Hopefully I don't experience this again when I fly back in.

I stood in line for about 15-20 minutes and when I finally reached the person she asked if I was an emerald club member and I said yes. I was then advised I didn't need to stand in line I could go direct to the lot. When lines were forming I feel like she should have advised emerald club members could proceed to lot. This would have saved me and others time. Once I did get to the right place things went quickly.

Joined Emerald Club, great service, fast, easy. Was upgraded to full size car which was nice for a 6-7 hour drive. Love National! Looking forward to renting from them again.

Needed a car last minute because the office I originally booked a car for closed before I could get there. I stopped in at National and the agent on duty (sorry I can't remember his name!) said "don't worry we'll take care of you" and he did! Got a great car and the price was good. Will definitely use again!
