I left Hertz for National. My first experience with the Emerald Club was a good one. Able to get the car immediately, and the attendant was able to get me a booster seat for my grandson in short order. The gal at the exit gate was less than enthusiastic, but it was close to midnight... and being energetic and friendly may be a bit too much to ask. After all... it is Detroit Metro.

Manager (Kim) was extremely helpful in correcting issues with one-way rental from Detroit. Was extremely pleasant, professional and courteous. Made my trip and holiday experience fantastic.

National has a convenient system for renting cars, especially for Emerald Club members. It is very easy to get on the road and back to the airport, even easier than parking your own car at the airport lots.

One of the best car rental companies. As an Emerald Club member, one has a choice of cars to pick from. No windows, no lines. They even put some water upfront. Highly recommended.

Overall experience was good. Vehicle I had reserved was not available and I had to take a different one. Charged the same price so it was OK. Very disappointed by the lack of selection of larger SUV vehicles that I had reserved.

There is a lot of selection and service is much better than other airports. I rented once a month and it is fast to pick-and-go or drop off. Thank you for great service.

The National program, Emerald Club, is a very good program as I like to close my car. The Detroit National location at best is mediocre.bCars are always dirty. Windows never clean inside or out. Always some sort of trash still in the car. I use them as I like to pick the type of car I drive. Hertz does a much better job of providing a clean car. Great, easy rental! Love being able to pick any car in the aisle. I was also really impressed with the rental process--quick, easy, and friendly. I remember thinking wow, great customer service!
