Great Service and Ambiance – Nakama is the best sushi restaurnant that I have been to since I moved here to Pittsburgh. Being a VIP member, they send me coupons and promotional offers to dine in the restaurant. Recently I brought a friend of mine from California, and we had a pleasant dinner at the sushi bar and the service was excellent!
Awesome food...fantastic service...what more do you want!!! – I dined at Nakama with my finacee about a month ago. I had been to a few other hibachi style restaurants, but I was really impressed with Nakama! We started with the lettuce wraps, they were delicious! Wonderful all around – I have been a regular at Nakama since it opened and i love the place!! I go once a week and the food and the atmosphere is wonderful. When i take my son with me, the staff does everything to entertain him and they are so great to him. Heidi has gone out of her way time and time again to put a smile on his face. We go there for every special occasion and always have a great time. The food is outstanding!!! Keep up the good work!
Best Sushi in Town – My husband and I love Nakama - it's not the "tacky" atmosphere my mind conjures up when I think of a Japanese Steakhouse. I love coming here with friends - it's a great place to cut loose and have a fun time - not stuffy. This weekend my husband and I came alone for the first time and sat at the sushi bar. It was warm and intimate. We had a fabulous time - feels like a New York scene - not the typical Pittsburgh. Love IT - thanks Nakama P.S. - Try thier new wine Menage Red! It was awesome!
Great Service – Whenever I have visitors to Pittsburgh I always take them to Nakama. We went last night and had a great time. It was Sunday night and the cook was running behind. To make up for the wait the waitress bought our table a round of drinks on the house. When the chef did arrive he was very friendly and talked with my guests about their trip and impressions of Pittsburgh. Everyone loved the food and can't wait to go back!
MMMMMM Sushi! – I've been introducing LOTS of out-of-towners to Nakama. I'll take any excuse to go there for the delicious fresh sushi and martinis. :) Aside from the sushi Nakama always delivers a wonderful atmosphere where you can enjoy great conversation with friends and often strangers you dine with. The food is delicious and more than generous portions!
No Better Happy Hour! – Good grub, spacious restaurant, great selection, and entertaining atmosphere. Not to mention the best happy hour around. This is truly the Burgh hot spot for hanging out, but the secret is definitely out. Nakama is no longer the secret on the South Side!
Best Scallops in town! – Nakama is by far one of the best Japanese steakhouses I have ever been to! The spicy tuna rolls and the Scallops are to die for! I have never had a problem with them honoring reservations, incorrectly placing my order or having to wait for long periods of time. The service is always supurb and the chefs entertaining! I choose Nakama for all of my special occassion dinners and am never disappointed!
Best Sushi, Great Atmosphere, Friendly Bartenders – Nakama is by far my most favorite place to go to eat. I've had sushi at other restaraunts such as Sushi Two, Yokoso, and Fish Market and they do not compare to Nakama. I met a guy at Nakama once who said that he travels all over the world, including Japan and he stated that Nakama has better sushi than anywhere!!! The bartenders are very friendly too.
