GREAT SERVICE IN A FRIENDLY PLACE! – Nakama's environment is very friendly. The customer service is excellent. From waitresses to chefs, we were treated like royalty. The food is also always served perfectly to order specifications. The chefs are well trained and it shows in the way that they pay attention to your requests. They aim to please and my wife and I are always pleased.
Great food and atmosphere! – The food and atmosphere are great at Nakama. The staff is very helpful and nice. The sushi is the best in Pittsburgh. I've eaten sushi throughout the US and Nakama is right up at the top of my list. Thanks for a great time and can't wait to go back!
Great Place – I have been to Nakama twice. My Fiancee enjoys the Hibachi while I enjoy the Sushi. Nakama has a great atmosphere. The chefs are funny and entertaining. It is my favorite place for Sushi. I can't wait to go back again.
The Best Dining Esxperience in the Burgh! – My wife and I have lived all across the country and love to dine out. When we moved back to Pittsburgh, one of the things we were most excited about was that we would be close to Nakama. This is always the first choice of our kids when we ask them were they want to go. The service is awesome, the food spectacular and the chef's performances are second to none! We'll be back this week for our wedding anniversary and can't wait for the best dining experience in the Burgh!
Don't Trust all the good reviews – Don't trust all the good reviews. Nakama is offering a $10 coupon to anyone who writes a good restaurant review on this site. If that is not out and out bribery, I don't know what is. That said, I do enjoy the food there but it can get quite crowded, esp. on weekends. Don't even think of showing up unanounced on a Friday or Saturday night unless you are prepared for a 2 hour wait.
Dozens of visits, not ONE bad experience :) – My first experience at Nakama was on my birthday a couple years back. We were seated right away and the food was to die for! The chef's are amazing. My fiance and I soon went back, but just for sushi this time and we became a VIP members. Nakama's sushi is like none other. BEST JAPENESE FOOD IN PITTSBURGH! – I give Nakama a 10 out of 10! This was a great experience for my entire family. Great food and lots of it! Nakama gives more than any other Japenese restaurant we have been to.
What a great place for a group to eat! – We recently were in a party of 35 that ate at Nakamas in there enclosed party room of the restaurant. The food was wonderful and the service was very efficient. I will definately be making plans to get more groups to go there for dinner and a night out!
Highly Recommended! – Best sushi in Pittsburgh! I've been to Nakama a number of times - both for lunch and dinner. Service has been great and sushi is always wonderful! Especially the Hanalei Roll!
