There may be a wait, but well worth it – My husband and I eat at Nakama frequently, and I have never had a bad experience there. The food is all very good (especially the filet!), and the sushi is excellent. There is usually a long wait, and not always enough room to comfortably wait in the bar or sushi bar, so try to go during off hours or make reservations pretty far in advance. Hot Spot – Nakama is the best Hot spot in town to meet people and enjoy great dining!! The atmosphere is wonderful - the food superb - the location perfect - it really has it all!!! It is a must try for all Pittsburgher's and a great place to bring out of town visitors to showcase our great city!!!
My favorite!!!! – Nakama is the best restuarant in Pittsburgh!! I have eaten there several times and have had the best service and food each and every time. The serving staff and cooks are friendly, attentive and informative and the food is out of this world. The menu has something for everyone...even vegetarians! I highly recommend Nakama!
Best Japanese Restaurant – I have been to Nakama twice both times were for a birthday celebration. I loved it the food is great the people were very friendly. My children loved it my husband said it was one of his best birthdays.
Awesome Sushi and Hibachi – The sushi is always the freshest and best tasting from anywhere around. The hibachi chefs are entertaining, and the food is delicious. It's a busy place, so be sure to get a reservation, but the great atmosphere, great food, and great location make Nakama a must for anyone looking for something different to do.
Great Meal & Entertainment – My husband & I recently had dinner and had the lobster tails and kobee(sp?) beef. The meal and entertainment was excellent. We shared a table with 6 strangers, and yet, the chef still tried to encompass us all in the entertainment of the food preparation. We so enjoyed ourselves!! Next time, though, I'll take along people we know.
Awesome Experience!! – I've heard great things about Nakama and passed it frequently on my visits to Pittsburgh. My girlfriend, who now resides in Pittsburgh, wanted to go there one day and I agreed we should give it a shot. It so happened to be April fools day and our Chef got played tricks on by the other chef's (he had his eggs replaced, his bottles were filled with other liquids, etc etc). GREAT FOOD-EXCELLENT SERVICE – I have been to Nakama's many times, enjoyed everything about being there. Good food,great tricks,the service. The employees were very helpful in whatever we needed. I never waited for "another beer" and that is a real plus!! The bathrooms were very clean and the attendant was very pleasant and caring. I recommend Nakama's highly, It's the best around!!!!
