Took my daughter on March 5, 2020 for an appointment to get contacts for the first time. I was charged for the contact fitting and went back the next week for follow up appointment and to order contacts. The representatives were unable to get an insurance authorization to place the order. Covid happened and called 2 weeks ago to order contacts and was told insurance would not pay until 2021. Found myself a new Optometrist after MyEyeDr rescheduled my appointment FOUR times because of their own issues. The last time they called to reschedule an hour and a half before my appointment. Absolutely ridiculous!

The MyEyeDr in Birmingham Alabama @ 2100 Bessemer Rd Birmingham Alabama 35205. Please be aware of their frames. They have defected frames. I got glasses & the right side broke. Took them back & they so called fixed them. Well in about a month or so same thing & same side breaks. I took them back & was told it's nothing they can do. I will never visit them again nor recommend anyone else to visit them. I'm stuck with a brand new pair of glasses that I can't wear. Went to the one in Boutte,la. Won’t ever go back. I called because I need my RX and my diabetic eye exam sent to my doctor. Myself and my doctor have called several times they won’t call me back or my doctor. They refuse to send my information over which means I have to pay for another exam. First the girl tells me in order for it to be sent to me i have to fill out a medical release ok sure send it over then she says oh I don’t know what I can and cannot send. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with MyEyeDr. I have been calling them for 3 days trying to get information on my glasses. I broke my initial pair so I went in nearly a month ago to get a new pair. It has now been over the 3 weeks they estimated and I haven’t heard anything. No one is answering the phone or emails at the Pentagon City office and I have had the same luck with Patient Relations. I am disappointed in the management of this office during covid. I made an appointment online for a visit in the Ansonia office. When I entered, they took my temperature, had me switch masks, and sanitize my hands. They brought me back to size me for contacts in the machine where you place your chin and forehead onto a machine and scan for your eye size, etc. After already completing these steps, they take me into an exam room and ask me covid related questions of which I am truthful and let my know my husband was exposed in... read more

They could let you in their store. They could let you get your glasses fixed without a dr appt. They could let you do that without demanding all of your personal info. They could let you order the glasses you want. But they don't and they are such a downgrade from the store thy bought.
