Set in a lovely old two-story home on a quiet tree-lined street, its two wood-paneled bars brim with hospitality, and its two dining rooms, an intimate non-smoking room with bare stone walls and a larger room designed like an indoor gazebo serve first-rate meals. The bars offer a buffet from 5pm-7pm weekdays and the kitchen's seafood specialties, such as Mahi-mahi topped with Lump Crab meat are both creative and flavorful.

Had a nice time and enjoyed our meals but we were there celebrating a happy occasion so we were more apt to accept the slow service and just ok customer service. Had reservations, checked in ....and were told to go ahead and find whatever table we wanted. Thought that was weird. My partner and I had our wedding reception there. They easily accommodated 120 guests with an abundance of food, even guests with demanding food preferences. Drinks were great. Mary B was helpful and friendly in assembling an affordable package deal. We could not have asked for better, and many of our family and friends raved about it.
We just visited for the first time and were very pleased with everything. Even after arriving late for our reservations we were seated right away without a problem. The service was quick and the food was amazing. My steak was cooked perfectly (medium) and was the most tender, flavorful steak I've ever had. This isnt a review for food but a statement for how horrible this place is as far as what goes on behind the scenes...i recently had got employed there as a busser / food runner and they so called made a "mistake" on how they put me in the system for how much I make per hour when i clocked in and tried to address it with management....when i tried to talk the manager he tried to dismiss me first and acted like he wasnt working but i still tried to address the issue and he acted as if he was annoyed and wasnt fully listening ... read more
Mt. Washington Tavern did not disappoint. I had the Seared Scallops and they were delicious. My husband had the seafood pasta and it was out of this world. Definitely coming back again. Service was impeccable as well.
I guess we're optimists. We keep giving MWT a chance and it's been good enough - sometimes - to give us hope. Last night we had awesome (half-price) burgers. But they forgot to put lettuce and tomato on them (which were listed on the menu). And the waitress forgot our beers till after our food came - and then informed me that the one I ordered wasn't available. The Lettuce & Tomato are on me. Because we deliver the product at a loss (with the hopes we'll get that 2nd beer sale) we try to make sure that nothing is wasted. So the question, "Would you like Lettuce & Tomato or any cheese?" is supposed to be asked on Monday nights whereas otherwise its built into the cost. I plug the same server into Monday Nights at the Tavern Dining Area every week most of the year but in this case we had a schedule change. Atmosphere was beautiful. It was fun to watch the Orioles play on the outside television. Brad was our server and he made sure everything was perfect. We ordered simple food and it was delicious.
